“Love is Blind” season 7 cast member Monica Davis has found comfort in posting about her IVF journey online, and she recently got even more candid about the medical procedure, according to People.
In an upcoming episode of fellow “Love is Blind” alum AD Smith’s podcast, “What’s the Reality,” Davis talks openly about trying to conceive with her boyfriend, Zac Vavrek, whom she met after “Love is Blind.” A clip from the episode, shared early with People, can be seen below.
Monica Davis’s IVF Journey
Per the press video courtesy of People, Davis said she and her boyfriend had been trying to get pregnant for over a year when they decided to try IVF. At the beginning of October 2025, she began her third cycle, sharing that she had given herself shots that morning, before recording the podcast.
Davis said Vavrek was “really supportive” of her decision to share her journey online, which has helped her get through the “lows” of IVF. “It just sucks in a lot of ways,” Davis said about the procedure.
Although Davis “always knew it was going to be hard” to get pregnant, due to being 38 years old and her family history, her quest to get pregnant has been harder than she expected. “No one really prepares you for the experience Zac and I’ve had,” Davis said.
At this point, Davis said she and Vavrek haven’t “made it to a place where [their] embryos last long enough to talk about transferring them.” The Netflix reality TV star said she felt prepared for IVF to fail after the transfer stage, but she was not prepared for what she’s actually experienced.
“No one prepares you to like, put your body through all this, and like, the money, the time, the energy, and you can’t even, by day seven, your embryos are gone,” Davis said about her personal journey. Davis is not giving up, though, showing just how brave she really is.
Monica Davis’s Experience on ‘Love is Blind’
Davis fell in love in the pods while filming “Love is Blind” season 7. She and Stephen Richardson got engaged sight unseen, and while their relationship seemed pure in the pods, things quickly fell apart in the real world. Davis realized Richardson wasn’t who she thought he was when he wouldn’t partake in PDA during the couple’s trip to Mexico and neglected to get her flowers, despite promising to do so in the pods.
Eventually, Davis realized Richardson had cheated on her while claiming to be at a sleep study. She ended the relationship before making it to the altar, and has since entered into a much healthier partnership with Vavrek.
