It’s Wednesday (January 21, 2026) which means… “Star Search” is back live at 9:00pm ET on Netflix for Episode 2. Hosted by Anthony Anderson, with judges Jelly Roll, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Chrissy Teigen, the series continues to give us performances you can’t just watch passively. Yep, it seems like the interactive format is here to stay. Why? Because viewer votes determine in real-time who advances and who gets eliminated.
How to Vote?
Let’s get real; not everyone out there is technologically savvy. Some people need a little extra guidance on how these things work, and that is okay. Luckily, Netflix has our backs with their blog. Earlier today, Tudum, posted a guide explaining exactly how to get those important votes in.
- Voting is available via Smart TVs, Streaming devices (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, etc.), and Mobile apps (iOS and Android), but NOT web browsers.
- During specific moments in the episode (i.e. after each act performs), a prompt will appear on the screen to allow for a 1–5 star rating. Simply select how you feel the performer did and your vote will be entered.
- Viewers “can submit one rating per Netflix profile per performance, and once submitted, your vote is final.”
And remember: every round “builds toward the live finale where fans help choose the winner.”
