‘Stranger Things’ Cast Discuss Their Wildest Fan Encounters

The “Stranger Things” cast recently discussed some of their craziest moments with fans. Along with show-runners Matt and Ross Duffer, the stars sat down with BBC to discuss the past and present of the Netflix show.

This season brings the science-fiction hit, which premiered over a decade ago, to its final close. The story will continue to follow Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her friends, including Mike (Finn Wolfhard); Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin); Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Max (Sadie Sink), as they face off against Vecna to save Hawkins and each other. “Stranger Things” last left off with the evil being defeating the group and bringing the darkness of the Upside Down to Hawkins.

The series returns to the small screen at the end of November.

A Stranger Gave Gaten Matazarro a Wild Back-handed Compliment

In conversation with Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery and Charlie Keaton, who play the guiding young adults of “Stranger Things,” BBC host Ali Plumb repeated a wild story that he heard from Matarazzo.

Someone stopped the actor on the street and then remarked, “You are much worse looking than on T.V.”  The stranger’s insult came as a complete surprise to Matarazzo.

The “Stranger Things” stars laughed in response to hearing the absurd comment, which Matazarro was initially shocked by. However, he shrugged it off with a simple “Okay.” This encounter isn’t the only ridiculous moment that the cast has shared with fans as Heaton retold a tale of his own.

Charlie Heaton’s Hilarious Subway Run-In

After the premiere of the first season of “Stranger Things,” Heaton was recognized in public. He was sitting on the subway when a fan approached him. However, things didn’t go exactly as he expected.

“She sat next to me on the tube and she went, ‘Oh my god, oh my god, you’re the guy from ‘Stranger Things,’” he said.

He continued, “I was like ‘Shh,’ and she was like, ‘Can I get a photo?’” Heaton obliged and the two snapped a quick picture before the mood drastically shifted. The woman paused and suddenly decided Heaton was not who she thought he was.

“She sat there and she went, ‘No, you’re not!’ and then just left. I was like, ‘Okay,’” he concluded with a laugh. Keery and Dyer joined him in giggling at the bizarre interaction.

Netflix recently released a trailer for the final season of “Stranger Things,” which will begin streaming on the platform on November 26.
