Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner both decided to rock blue on blue when they stepped out together on Thursday, May 21.
The former spouses were seen walking together on a Los Angles parking lot without any of their three kids in tow. Affleck, 53, chose medium wash jeans with a blue button up shirt he wore over a white tee. He completed his outfit with a simple pair of lace-up sneakers.
Garner, 54, went with slightly darker jeans, chunkier sneakers, and a slightly more muted blue sweater. The actors both wore a pair of glasses on their heads. Affleck carried what looked like a takeout bag.
One fan made a “The Devil Wears Prada” joke, calling their looks “cerulean blue” like the infamous dumpy sweater Anne Hathaway’s character wears on her first day as Miranda Priestley’s assistant in the original film.
Others admired the coparents’ publicly friendly appearance. “Yall [sic], they’ve got 3 kids together. It’s refreshing to see that they can be mature adults. It benefits their kids to see the maturity, love, and respect they have for each other,” someone wrote.
The exes, who married in 2005 and finalized their divorce in 2018, are parents to two teenagers and a 20-year-old, Violet, who is studying at Yale.

Garner may have tucked her bangs out of the way for her recent outing with Affleck, but earlier in May, she celebrated the hair feature by posting a slideshow of her bangs’ best moments.
The first photo showed the star as a superhero in the 2005 film “Elektra,” while the final showed her bangs looking messy and tousled in a makeup-free closeup.
The “13 Going On 30” actress captioned her post, “Bangs should be left to the professionals.” She then wrote “Oh hey sisters” before tagging her fellow actresses Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, and Jennifer Aniston, who have also been known to frequently wear the style.
Aniston replied, “Hi beautiful banger sister!” while Sandra Bullock affectionately called Garner “Elektrik banger,” emphasizing her comment with a heart.
Another famous face also chimed in on the conversation, “Father of the Bride” star Kimberly Williams Paisley. She joked, “Gurl did someone leave you alone with the scissors? 😂 🔥❤️❤️”
Jennifer Garner Has a Series Premiering This Summer
In the post right before the one about the bangs, Garner hyped the limited Peacock series “The Five Star Weekend” that premieres on July 9, in which she stars alongside Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, and Gemma Chan.
The show is based on the 2023 bestselling novel of the same name.
The plot is about a grieving widow who hosts a group of her friends for a Nantucket getaway while attempting to heal after losing her husband in a sudden accident.
In February, Garner told Bustle about her love of books and how it began. She said her penchant for reading bloomed when a librarian made her feel seen when she felt overshadowed by her popular older sister growing up. Garner says the librarian also fostered her writing ambitions, reminiscing, ““She made a little area for me inside an old refrigerator box and let me sit and write.”
