Ethan Hawke’s latest honor at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival became a special family affair as his two youngest daughters — Clementine Jane, 17, and Indiana, 14 — made a rare public appearance alongside him and their mother at the star-studded event.
The Sweet Family Outing
The outing marked one of the few times the actor’s teenage daughters have been photographed at a high-profile event, adding a personal touch to an already memorable night.
The family of four walked the red carpet together on Feb. 6 at the Arlington Theatre, where Hawke, 55, was being honored with the American Riviera Award — an accolade celebrating artists who have made a meaningful impact on American cinema.
The event brought together Hollywood heavyweights and also served as a proud moment for the Hawke family.
Dressed in stylish attire, Clementine and Indiana stood beside their father and mother Ryan Shawhughes Hawke, supporting Hawke as he accepted the award.
Hawke took a heartfelt moment during his acceptance speech to acknowledge his family’s support, saying he felt “blessed to be” at the festival surrounded by loved ones.
“My daughters are here, and my wife who’s my producing partner is here,” he told the crowd, emphasizing both his personal and professional gratitude.
The American Riviera Award is one of the most respected honors at SBIFF, and Hawke’s inclusion places him among past recipients such as Kristen Stewart, Mark Ruffalo and Jeff Bridges, who also presented this year’s honor.
In fact, this marked the second time Hawke has received this distinction, having previously shared it with “Boyhood” co-star Patricia Arquette in 2015.
Hawke Hs Two Additional Children
Hawke’s younger daughters do not often attend public events with him, making this outing particularly notable for fans who rarely see this side of the actor’s family.
While Clementine and Indiana have largely stayed out of the spotlight, their presence at the festival highlighted their supportive bond with their father and offered a rare peek into the private life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring actors.
In addition to his youngest two daughters, Hawke is also the father of Maya, 27, and Levon, 24, whom he shares with his ex-wife Uma Thurman.
Though his older children have occasionally attended events with him, Clementine and Indiana’s appearance at the Santa Barbara festival felt especially significant — capturing an intimate family moment during a major career milestone.
Whether fans admired Clementine and Indiana’s poised red carpet presence, or Hawke’s touching acknowledgment of his family’s role in his life, the night became as much about father-daughter support as it was about cinematic achievement.
