Jennifer Garner Gets Real About What Her Kids Really Think of Her: “I Am Fully Cringe”

Actress Jennifer Garner may be cool to her adoring fans, but that isn’t the case with her three children. Garner is mom to Violet, Finn, and Samuel with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, and in their eyes, she’s simply cringe.

Jennifer Garner Doesn’t Hold Back on What Her Kids Think of Her

The “Alias” alum has been making the media rounds to promote Season 2 of her Apple TV thriller “The Last Thing He Told Me”, premiering on Friday, February 20. Garner stopped by “The Jennifer Hudson Show” to discuss the new season with her co-stars Nikolaj William Coster-Waldau, Judy Greer, and Angourie Rice.

However, before they got to the topic at hand, Garner and host Jennifer Hudson got candid about being moms to teenagers.

Hudson admitted she’s constantly trying to win “cool points” with her son, David Otunga Jr., with her ex-boyfriend, David Otunga. The talk show host wanted to know how Garner achieved that with her kids.

“You’re providing my cool points today,” Garner declared with a huge smile on her face, to which Hudson shared that she hopes it’s working.

The actress went on to add, “I am fully cringe. I am only embarrassing.” Garner revealed how she asked her kids if they were going to watch the new season of “The Last Thing He Told Me,” and their response was “Do you need us too?

Garner’s story got a chuckle from the audience and her. However, she did explain that she fully understands why her kids don’t want to watch her in anything.

“They don’t want to see us cry or have a romantic scene or anything. We’re just embarrassing,” she expressed.

One way the actress earns cool points is through some of her famous friends. Garner admitted her kids love their “Aunt Judy,” referring to her “13 Going on 30” co-star and good friend.

Another way is because of Coster-Waldau. Garner’s kids are really into “Game of Thrones,” so working with the actor gives her street cred.

Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer, and Angourie Rice Take On the Spirit Tunnel

“The Jennifer Hudson Show” is known for its infamous spirit tunnel, where the show’s staff creates a tunnel for guests to walk down while they sing to them. Greer, Garner, and Rice slayed that tunnel.

It was smiles all around as the three ladies danced their way down the tunnel, and the staff sang “The Last Thing He Told Me J Hud is the place to be.” There’s no question that the Hollywood stars brought their moves to the tunnel.

In fact, Greer and Garner even did a little number in sync, while laughing their hearts out before heading to the stage.
