Martin Lawrence is one of the most beloved comedic actors thanks to his 90s sitcom and the “Bad Boys” franchise. Now, fans are showering the Hollywood icon with praise after he’s seemingly lost weight, many highlighting how happy and healthy he looks.
Martin Lawrence Stuns in New Photos
Lawrence recently posted photos from a recent comedy show on his official Instagram account. He said in the caption, “DC and VA brought the love! #martinlawrence #yallstillknowtour 📸 @niceshotnate 👕 @sharhondastockman @dabrahamcc.”
While many commenters appreciated seeing the legend on stage, several of his fans noticed how much healthier he appeared. One person said, “Lookin healthy, boss.” Another fan wrote, “Marty Mart you look amazing!!!! True legend 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾🙌🏾”

He Recently Walked the Red Carpet
GettyThis isn’t Lawrence’s first public appearance with his slimmer physique. He walked the red carpet for “Being Eddie,” the Netflix documentary about his friend Eddie Murphy, in November 2025. Those photos also show the “Bad Boys” star seemingly happier and healthier than in recent years.
He posed for multiple photos while at the event, including with Murphy himself, featured above. Additionally, he could be seen in pictures with his ex-wife, Shamicka Gibbs, whom he divorced in 2012, according to Today.

I’m in God’s hands, and I’m blessed, you know? And ’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”
He Has New Projects in the Works
“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” arrived in movie theaters in July 2024. The movie became a success, and now Lawrence is interested in a 5th movie. He spoke to US Weekly in 2025, and the interviewer asked about his dream projects.
Lawrence said, “Probably a fifth Bad Boys. And maybe another TV program.” In additon to this, per Deadline, a prequel series is in the works for his classic sitcom, “Martin.” The working title is “Young Martin.”
