Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding this weekend is expected to be packed with A-list stars, but one notable guest will be absent. Meryl Streep, who starred alongside Gomez in “Only Murders in the Building” and is currently dating Martin Short, was reportedly invited but has bowed out, according to the Daily Mail.

“Taylor is planning to attend but she’ll probably be going solo as [her fiancé] Travis Kelce has a game in Kansas the next day,” a source revealed, as per Page Six. “That’s all still under discussion.”
Wedding Details in Santa Barbara
According to The Sun, the couple will exchange vows at a private estate in Santa Barbara, California. Guests will stay nearby at the El Encanto hotel, where suites run up to $3,500 a night.
“It will be a huge, A-list, star-studded wedding planned by Mindy Weiss,” an insider said. Guests reportedly don’t know the exact locations of the rehearsal dinner or ceremony, with shuttles set to transport them from hotels to each event.
A Look Back at Gomez & Blanco’s Engagement
Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, got engaged in December 2024 after a year of dating. The singer announced the news on Instagram with the caption, “Forever begins now,” showing off her diamond ring.
Blanco commented, “Hey wait… that’s my wife,” before later resharing the photos on his Instagram Story, writing, “Still can’t believe it!”
The couple gave their first joint interview in February, keeping most details of the proposal private. Blanco admitted Gomez “didn’t know when it was coming,” making the moment even more special.
While the couple has not publicly confirmed their wedding date, Gomez gave fans a glimpse of her vision in a video posted by her beauty brand, Rare Beauty, on July 25.
“Whenever that day comes, I do know I don’t want a big cake,” she told viewers. “I think I’d want a mini one for just us that we can freeze.”
The singer also revealed her dream wedding dish. “My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy. My Nana’s biscuits and gravy — that sounds like dessert to me,” Gomez said.
