Will Taylor Swift Attend Her Fiancé Travis Kelce’s Season Opener in Brazil?

Taylor Swift could be adding another football milestone to her calendar as the Kansas City Chiefs kick off their 2025 NFL season in Brazil. Just days after announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce, fans are wondering if the superstar will make an appearance at his season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo.

Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Engagement Sets The Stage

Kelce and Swift revealed their engagement on August 26 with a joint Instagram post showing them in a rose-filled garden. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the announcement, which also showed off a massive, old mine brilliant-cut diamond ring.

Swift was a constant presence at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, during the Chiefs’ 2024 season. She attended nearly every home game, including playoff wins over the Houston Texans on January 18 and the Buffalo Bills on January 26, before traveling to the Super Bowl.

The only game she missed was a December 8 matchup against the Chargers — the same team the Chiefs face this week — because she was performing the final show of her record-breaking Eras Tour in Vancouver.

With her tour complete, speculation has grown that Swift could travel to Brazil to support Kelce in his first game as an engaged man.

Kelce and Mahomes Talk Engagement Ahead of Season Opener

At a press conference in Sao Paulo ahead of the September 5 opener, Kelce laughed when asked about life after engagement. “I got one more ring for it,” he joked. “I would say ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun, I love when the lights are bright.”

Patrick Mahomes, who will lead the Chiefs at quarterback, called his bestie’s life a “dream.”

Kelce admitted he has “a lot more eyes” on him now because of Swift, adding that he has learned how to “live life on a high.” Chiefs coach Andy Reid backed up his tight end, saying, “He is working very hard this training camp, and in the offseason, and I know he looks forward to getting started. (Kelce) is in a good, good place.”

Neither the NFL nor Corinthians Arena has confirmed Swift’s attendance, though Brazilian outlets report local broadcasters are preparing for the possibility.

The Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, September 5, at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, with the game streaming globally and exclusively on YouTube.
