“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne has been dating her new boyfriend, John McPhee, for several months. Now, the longtime Bravo star is opening up about why he hasn’t met her costars despite being in a serious relationship with him.
Jayne spoke to US Weekly in December 2025. She said, “No one’s met him, and I kind of like it like that because I like him, and I know how bad these things are for your relationship. Like, I’ve gone through too much on this. Like, I think I need, you know, I would like to keep that relationship special and over here if I could.”
The RHOBH star went on to say that her new boyfriend is unfamiliar with the show. According to her, “He’s never seen the show, doesn’t know anything about it. We didn’t know we were going to get manicures and pedicures. Like, this was not part of the plan.”
For context, the pair was previously seen holding hands before going to a nail salon. Despite the photographs existing, they’ve never walked a red carpet together.
Erika Jayne Reveals How She Met John
Jayne hasn’t had the best couple of years, as she’s still going through a divorce with Tom Girardi. However, she’s said publicly that she’s finding her way back to happiness, with her new boyfriend playing a role in that progress.
She told US Weekly how they met. Jayne said, “I was in London performing at the Mighty Hoopla [music festival], and he was there with his friend Spencer Pratt, and I’d seen John on these two podcasts.
I was like, ‘Oh, that’s that guy. I’m gonna walk up and say hello,’ and that’s exactly what I did. See, that’s why I can’t speed date.”
Jayne also told the outlet that she plans to spend the holidays with her new long-distance boyfriend. She described him, saying, “He’s a normal, regular person, and does not live in Los Angeles. I like people who are confident and intelligent.
I was married to somebody who was really good at their job for a long time, and then obviously ended in a really bad way. This person is calm, and this person is centered.”
The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Star Expanded her Music Career
Like many “Real Housewives” stars, Jayne has a music career. She has original pop songs, music videos, and she regularly performs at festivals. More recently, she announced her return to DJing under the name DJ Pretty Mess.
She said in October, “Music has always been my constant — my first love, my escape, my heartbeat. From performing as a singer, dancer, and actress growing up, to legendary nights in New York City in the late ’80s, crate-digging for vinyls and losing myself in the underground club scene — that’s where the spark truly began.”
In additon to her life as a DJ, fans can see Jayne on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Thursday nights on Bravo.
