Kyle Richards is sharing a rare update on her relationship with older sister Kim Richards following a difficult stretch for their family.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was asked about Kim while speaking with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Rather than dwell on the circumstances that previously made headlines, Kyle offered a brief but meaningful update about how her sister is doing now.
Kim is “doing okay,” Kyle told TMZ, adding that she is doing “better” than she was when the sisters became involved in a legal dispute over Kyle’s Encino condo in early 2025.
When asked about where things stand between them personally, Kyle made it clear that Kim continues to have her family’s support.
“She has a big family that loves her very much,” Kyle said.
Kyle Richards Says Sister Kim Is ‘Doing Okay’
Kyle’s comments come after a complicated period between the sisters that extended beyond their famously up-and-down relationship on RHOBH.
In January 2025, Kyle filed an eviction lawsuit involving a two-bedroom condo she owned in Encino where Kim had been living. Kim did not respond to the case, and a default judgment followed in March 2025. Court records later showed that Kim had already left the property by the time authorities attempted to serve her with the judgment, and Kyle ultimately regained possession of the condo.
Despite the legal proceedings, Kyle’s latest comments suggest the situation did not sever their family bond.
The update also follows Kim’s recent public appearance in Santa Monica, where she was photographed spending time in a park with one of her dogs. The outing generated attention online, but sources familiar with Kim’s circumstances subsequently told TMZ there was no reason for alarm.
Kyle had also reportedly helped Kim secure another place to live near the beach.
Kim, 61, remains close with her four children, Brooke, Whitney, Chad and Kimberly, according to the outlet.
Kyle and their sister Kathy Hilton previously offered another encouraging update during the RHOBH Season 14 reunion, saying at the time that Kim was living in Florida and “doing better.”

RHOBH Season 16 is currently filming, putting Kyle’s life back in front of Bravo cameras as several major changes continue to unfold within her family. Whether viewers will hear more about her relationship with Kim during the upcoming season remains to be seen.
Kim has a long history with the franchise herself. She joined RHOBH alongside Kyle when the series premiered in 2010 and remained a full-time cast member through Season 5. She has returned for numerous appearances in the years since.
The sisters have never hidden the fact that their relationship has experienced difficult periods, many of which played out publicly during their years on Bravo.
This time, however, Kyle’s update was notably simple.
Kim is doing better, and when it comes to where the sisters stand today, Kyle emphasized the family surrounding her rather than the conflict that came before it.
