Leah Remini Teases RHOBH Update With First Photo Just Days Into Filming

Leah Remini gave fans an update on filming for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” just a few days into filming—and it already looks like a wild ride.

In a photo shared to her Instagram page on Sept. 2, Remini, 56, sat between veteran cast members Kyle Richards and Sutton Stracke at a restaurant. The photo posted by the Bravo TV newcomer showed Stracke with a cross-shaped bandage emoji above her lip as the trio posed for the shot.

“Not even a week in and Sutton has stitches,” Remini captioned the photo.

Last week, Remini was announced as a new cast member for the 16th season of RHOBH. According to Variety, in addition to Richards and Stracke, the former “King of Queens” star will be joined by fellow RHOBH newcomer Tracy Tutor and established cast members Erika Jayne, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and “friends” Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly.

Fans Reacted to Leah Remini’s RHOBH Photo

Remini’s first RHOBH photo received quite a reaction in the comment section. Some fans joked that Remini must have decked Stracke already.

“You puttin paws on people already?” one fan asked the actress.

“You punched her already…..😂,” another joked to Remini.

“Snitches get stitches… just saying,” another wrote.

Stracke even commented with, “You really have a strong right hook! You had me in stitches!!!;)😽💕”

Others noted that the funny photo is proof that Remini is just what RHOBH needed.

“The way I’ve never needed a season more,” one fan wrote.

Leah Remini Has a History on Reality TV

While Remini is best known for the CBS sitcom “The King of Queens” and the Emmy-winning docu-series “Scientology and the Aftermath,” she’s also a seasoned reality TV veteran. She previosuly appeared on and guest-hosted “Dancing With the Stars.” And more than a decade ago, she starred on “Leah Remini: It’s All Relative,” which aired for two seasons on TLC  from 2014 to 2015, and featured her then-husband Angelo Pagan, their daughter Sophia, Remini’s mom, Vicky Marshall, and other family members.

As for why Remini waited so long to sign on to another reality TV venture, it was really all about her family.

Speaking with Us Weekly in 2025, Remini revealed that she would be interested in doing reality TV again if the right show was pitched to her.

“I would do it again,” Remini shared at the time. “I would only do it again with my family, and if they let my family be my family. …I haven’t pursued it [again] only because my family’s so great that I would hate to look like I’m selling my family,” she explained.

Remini noted that her fans have long asked to see her family back on TV.

“There’s not one time I tweet something [about] my family show, like, of my mom, that people are [not] like, ‘Why are we not still on the air?’ My family’s so unique,” Remini said. “We were being our authentic selves, which you don’t see today at all in reality television.”

Remini should have opportunities to show her family on RHOBH. The Bravo reality show frequently features storylines with the cast members’ families. Last season, several episodes were set at Stracke’s mom’s home in Augusta, Georgia.
