The possibility is certainly in the air!
Miss Leakes, who put “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” on the map with her iconic one-liners and instant alpha status is possibly in negotiations to rejoin the network.
Since tensely leaving Bravo in 2020, fans have had a fabulous-sized hole in their hearts and NeNe’s return would fill it with confidence, humor, and the kind of unfiltered realness only she can deliver.
So, What’s the Show?
At BravoCon 2025, Andy Cohen announced that a new season of the series “Ultimate Girls Trip” is coming in 2026. “The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip” will have, according to Andy, “iconic housewives taking the road trip of a lifetime to the housewives cities where they will be joined by iconic housewives of the past and present. This is going to rock your world!” His statement was met with frenetic cheers from the viewers who have missed this show dearly.
Frances Berwick, chairman of Bravo and Peacock Unscripted, said that the new show, “is a love letter to the women who turned a reality television show into a cultural phenomenon — and the fans who’ve been there for every laugh, gasp, toast, and table turn.”
While the specific scintillating details have yet to be divulged, the trip of a lifetime will start in Orange County, the city that started it all, and then travel to the East Coast.
Who Are the Other Participants?
BravoSo far, it looks like Gizelle Bryant and Monique Samuels could ride shotgun with NeNe next year.
Monique is enjoying a Bravo resurgence thanks to her return to “The Real Housewives of Potomac” this season. She left the show after a wild dust-up with fellow wife, Candiace Dillard Bassett during a season 5 wine-tasting event thrown by Karen Huger. The altercation devolved quickly, with the other ladies and members of production jumping in to separate them. She then departed the show at the end of the season, only to pop back onto our screens for season 10, which is currently airing.
Gizelle, on the other hand, has added her elite pot-stirring skills since season one. She’s shady, but always with a glint in her eye and a mischievous smile on her lips. Never one to engage to fisticuffs, she brings an unflappable class to the cast, which makes her a quick-witted joy, albeit it in questionable outfits.
