Teresa Giudice Shares Marriage Lessons as Giudice and Gorga Families Reunite

Teresa Giudice is addressing her marriages, her legal case, and the current state of her family. During a recent episode of the podcast “Casual Chaos,” hosted by her daughter Gia Giudice, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star discussed what she learned from her marriage to Joe Giudice and how her relationship with current husband Luis Ruelas differs. At the same time, Teresa and her extended family reunited for Christmas Eve 2025, marking their first shared holiday celebration in years after a long-running family feud.

Teresa Giudice Discusses Marriage and Communication

While speaking with Gia on “Casual Chaos,” Teresa was asked what she learned from both of her marriages. Teresa said the biggest difference came down to communication.

“Communication,” Teresa said. “I didn’t have that really that much with your dad. But Luis, we communicate. I mean, you see it … It’s so different [with Luis].”

Gia agreed, noting that the two relationships were very different. “Yeah, definitely two different people,” Gia said. “But I guess you got to have the macho guy to then get the, you know, the sweet guy, so. You got to try them all out.”

Gia also shared her perspective on why people’s relationship choices can change over time. “I don’t think it’s intentional, but I think a lot of girls when they’re younger are more attracted to like the macho bad boy,” she said. “And then obviously, you know, sometimes it doesn’t turn out to be the best decision. Because then sometimes the macho bad boy gets in trouble.”

Gia added that Luis is very different from her father. “Like Luis didn’t get in trouble, you know, get deported,” she said.

The conversation then turned to Teresa’s legal case with Joe, which resulted in both serving prison sentences and Joe later being deported to Italy. Teresa explained that she became involved because she trusted her husband when he asked her to sign documents using her credit.

Gia asked whether their family would still be together if they had never joined “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Teresa answered directly.

“Oh definitely,” Teresa said. “But I don’t want to go back in time because you could say woulda, coulda, shoulda.”

Teresa said she believes the family was treated unfairly during the case. “Do I feel like I was made an example of? Absolutely. Absolutely,” she said. “Your father had a partner, and he didn’t go to jail, and he should have gone to jail. So that’s what (expletive) me off the most.”

Teresa also acknowledged that the marriage may not have lasted regardless of the legal issues. “But I don’t know if our marriage would have lasted,” she said. “Because if it would have lasted, it would have lasted.”

Gia added that past infidelity also played a role in the split.

Giudice and Gorga Families Reunite for Christmas Eve 2025

Weeks after revealing at BravoCon 2025 that they had made amends, Teresa and Melissa Gorga reunited for Christmas Eve. Melissa hosted the celebration at her New Jersey home, bringing the Giudice and Gorga families together after years of spending the holidays apart.

Teresa shared photos from the night on Instagram, showing her with Luis, his son Louie Jr., and her daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana. The gathering also included Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, Melissa, and their children Antonia, Joey Jr., and Gino.

“Merry Christmas from our family to yours,” Teresa wrote. Melissa responded in the comments, writing, “What a beautiful Christmas Eve.”

Gia also shared moments from the reunion on Instagram Stories, including videos with Joe and photos of the entire group together. She captioned one post with heart emojis and wrote, “Christmas miracles do come true.”

In another moment that longtime “Real Housewives of New Jersey” viewers noticed, Teresa tried Melissa’s sprinkle cookies from her brand Let’s Sprinkle by MG, despite previously favoring pignoli cookies. In a video posted on Antonia’s TikTok, Teresa reacted to the cookies.

“They’re great,” Teresa said. “Delicious. They’re really good!”

Luis also praised them, giving the cookies a “10 out of 10,” according to Teresa.

Joe was not present at the gathering. He currently lives in the Bahamas and shared a throwback photo with his daughters on Instagram on Dec. 24. “Missing my girls a little extra today,” he wrote.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are both rumored to return for season 15 of RHONJ sometime in 2026.

  1. I still wouldn’t trust Teresa. I seriously think she’s doing this to get back on the show. She will stab Melissa in the back again. I think Gia is as phony as her mother. Teresa poisoned her children’s minds at an early age regarding her Brother and Melissa. I feel Teresa might be bipolar. Everything has to go her way or there will be hell to pay. She mocks what she doesn’t understand. She wants loyalty not honesty from friends. You cannot disagree with her or she will cut you off. She will cause problems again. I’m not interested in her sneaky hateful ways. She’s reminds of a female version of Trump. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  2. Low blow. I thought she was being nice again just to be on the show. It’s not just her sister in law, the rest of the cast will have a hard time getting along with her. The producers encourage fights so Tresea will deliver. Not sure I’ll watch now.
