“If Linda can’t find me, this is where I’m hiding,” Drew Scott said as he introduced fans to his gorgeously renovated ADU.
The luxury dwelling that once housed Drew’s parents, now serves as the couple’s spare room for guests and visiting family.
The “Property Brothers” star gives fans an inside look at the “personality-filled” space.

Drew and Linda transformed what once was Drew’s parents’ “Rocky Mountain-inspired suite,” now gives guests a private space to unwind and relax.
“I love to show people that you can do a lot with a small space,” the HGTV star said.
The 450-square-foot unit packs a lot into a little space with an in-unit washer and dryer, a full-size refrigerator, a fireplace and a separate sitting room. While housing Drew’s parents, the space had a dividing wall that separated and closed off the kitchen. The couple decided to eliminate a portion of that wall to open the space up for their guests.
“This isn’t really Linda and my style,” he said of the original design aesthetic. “We want it to pop a little bit more. We want it to be fun for guests to come and stay with us.”
The couple — who share children Piper and Parker — explained that their vision was to create a “boutique hotel kind of vibe.”
“We didn’t want to just have white walls and white cabinets. We just wanted something with a bit of personality,” Drew explained.
After eliminating the dividing wall, they were able to fit a large kitchen island and extra seating at the bar. Sadly, eliminating the wall meant getting rid of the fireplace.
“You have to reimagine a space, right?” Drew explained. “Don’t renovate with where the walls currently are if you can move things to make it a better flow. Function is just as important as the style.”
Despite the large scale of the renovation project, they were able to keep the original floors and cabinets.
“It’s stunning. Everything about this space is so much more my style than the original space,” the “Celebrity IOU” star shared.

The junior ADU is not the first space in the Scott-Phan home that the couple has given fans an inside look into, however. Just last month, the “Brother Vs. Brother” star and his wife showed off their daughter’s nursey—which was not completed until she was nearly one and a half year old.
“This has been a magical transformation, not just for Piper, because this is her new baby room nursery, even though now she’s 17 months,” Drew said in a video shared via YouTube on July 24. “We took a little longer than we thought, but we love how this has just become this cute little whimsical space just for our little sweetheart.”
The couple drew inspiration for their daughter’s room from the bedroom’s previous life. The room was once a “terrible” mustard yellow, with mid-century carpet and 50-year-old wallpaper, but now features mustard yellow accented with floral prints.
“It’s like all style. It comes and goes, right? What was cool in the ’70s comes back. So, this is basically the bell-bottom color of this house in the ’70s,” Drew said.
It will still accommodate his parents.
