‘The Girls’ Cast Tease Debut Season of Khloé Kardashian’s New Hulu Series

The cast of “The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project” is getting ready for the upcoming series premiere of their new reality show. The new Hulu reality show, created and executive produced by Khloé Kardashian, follows Kardashian’s inner circle of friends.

“The Girls” cast includes Malika Haqq, Khadijah Haqq McCray, Nicole Williams English, Natalie Halcro, Olivia Pierson, and Yris Palmer. Khloé Kardashian will make appearances throughout the first season, but is not a main cast member.

With the debut season premiering soon, the cast has been teasing what to expect from the new show.

What to Expect on Season 1 of “The Girls”

During an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, the cast of “The Girls” shared what can be expected ahead of the series premiere.

The cast described what it was like for Khloé Kardashian to step into the executive producer role while filming a show about her group of friends. Malika Haqq praised how Kardashian managed being an executive producer and a friend to the women of the group. Haqq also described how Kardashian did not “want to be stuck in the middle” when it came to group conflict.

When asked if there were two separate groups based on the season one trailer, Khadijah Haqq McCray revealed that it is not true. She detailed how she, Haqq, and Yris Palmer are close, while Nicole Williams English, Natalie Halcro, and Olivia Pierson are close with each other. Although the cast might be closer with some more than others, Haqq McCray mentioned the cast are “all naturally friends.” Pierson added that the cast have known each other for nearly 10 years before the new show.

The cast have been in each other’s lives for many years. Williams English shared how filming this reality show affected some friendships. She mentioned how being around her cast members every day throughout filming led her to learn more about the other women that she did know before being in a reality show environment. Halcro added on, describing filming as a “pressure-cooker environment” and how that mixes with being around cast members more often than usual.

Haqq revealed how the drama for the upcoming season centers around a “lack of communication” with other cast members. Palmer also added that she felt that some of her conversations may have been taken out of context, although she had no bad intentions. While drama and dynamics were briefly discussed, it seems that the rest will be revealed when the series premieres.

Most of “The Girls” Cast Have Experience With Reality TV

The cast of “The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project” features Malika Haqq, Khadijah Haqq McCray, Nicole Williams English, Natalie Halcro, Olivia Pierson, and Yris Palmer as the main cast members. Khloé Kardashian makes appearances and is an executive producer. While the Kardashian family has been on reality TV for over 20 years, many of “The Girls” cast members aren’t new to reality TV.

Twins Malika Haqq and Khadijah Haqq McCray have made appearances on several Kardashian-based reality shows. They have both been shown in several episodes of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and “The Kardashians.” Their appearances showed their close friendships with Khloé Kardashian. They also starred on the E! reality series “DASH Dolls,” which followed the workplace of the Kardashians’ former boutique called DASH.

Nicole Williams English, Natalie Halcro, and Olivia Pierson are also not new to reality TV. The three of them starred on “WAGS LA,” which aired on E! for three seasons from 2015 to 2017. Halcro and Pierson, who are cousins, also starred on E!’s “Relatively Nat & Liv” for one season in 2019. Williams English, Halcro, and Pierson have been friends with the Kardashian family for many years.

Yris Palmer is new to reality TV, with “The Girls” being her first reality TV role. This is Palmer’s first time being part of a reality show, but she has been close with the Kardashian family for years.

Since most of the cast has been on reality TV, they described how “The Girls” is different from other reality shows they have been on. In an interview for Entertainment Tonight’s “Spilling The E-Tea,” the cast revealed how they are together very often, both on and off camera. Pierson seemingly compared this show to her time on “WAGS LA.” She described how everyone on “The Girls” is in each other’s lives all the time.

“The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project” will be streaming on Hulu. All six episodes will be available the same day on August 21.
