Noah Newman is heading back home to Genoa City.
The casting shakeup continues on “The Young and the Restless.” This time, it’s been confirmed that Noah Newman has been recast.
According to TV Insider, Lucas Adams will take over the role previously played by Rory Gibson, who now portrays Michael Corinthos on “General Hospital.”
Adams is set to film this month, with his first episodes expected to air this fall, Deadline reported.
Lucas Adams as the New Noah Newman
Soap fans may recognize Adams from his role on “Days of Our Lives,” where he played Tripp Dalton, the son of Steve Johnson and Ava Vitali. His performance as Tripp landed him two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2018 and 2019.
Adams also appeared on “DOOL” spinoffs “Beyond Salem” and “A Very Salem Christmas.” And now, the actor is bringing his talents to the hit CBS sudser.
Noah is the son of Nick Newman and Sharon Newman. The character was last seen on “The Young and the Restless” in 2023. Noah’s last arc saw him move to London, where he’s remained off-screen from Genoa City.
The character has been portrayed by several actors, including Kevin Schmidt, Robert Adamson, and, most recently, Rory Gibson.
‘DOOL’ Alum Excited to Play Noah Newman on ‘Y&R’

Shortly after news of his new soap role broke, Adams took to social media to share his excitement about playing Noah. “Cat’s out of the bag. Let’s go have some fun,” he captioned an Instagram Stories post.
In a separate post, Adams added that he “can’t wait to get started” on “The Young and the Restless.”
Meanwhile, fans are already looking forward to seeing Adams take over the role. One fan wrote, “I loved that guy as Tripp and I’m thrilled to see how he’ll do as Noah.”
Another commented, “I hope this Noah stays around. There is much he can be involved in. I look forward to seeing what Y&R can do to rehabilitate Noah as they have had so many starts and stops on this character who is ripe for great storylines.”
Someone also noted, “Cool. Maybe he can help out his big sister (Mariah) with the whole homicide thing?”
Adams is the latest “Days of Our Lives” star to join “The Young and the Restless.” Tamara Braun, known for playing Ava Vitali, recently stepped into a new role as Sienna Bacall. Meanwhile, Billy Flynn, who still appears as Chad DiMera on “DOOL,” has also joined “Y&R” as Cane Ashby.
