Taylor Swift’s real-life love story just hit its fairytale moment. The singer, 34, said “yes” when Travis Kelce, 34, dropped to one knee in a romantic garden proposal.
The Kansas City Chiefs star presented her with a dazzling engagement ring, featuring a square-oval diamond set in gold, as Swift beamed with joy.

The pop icon looked over the moon, kissing and hugging her new fiancé while the couple posed for sweet photos to mark the milestone. Swift later shared close-ups of her sparkling ring on Instagram, confirming the engagement fans had been hoping for.

The couple first began dating in the summer of 2023, quickly becoming one of pop culture’s most-watched romances. For months, Swifties had speculated that Kelce would propose, with the buzz growing louder after NFL insider Adam Schefter teased on NFL Live in August 2024 that wedding bells might be next.
How a Friendship Bracelet Sparked Romance
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both 35, first fueled dating rumors in the summer of 2023 after the NFL star attended her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium. Kelce later revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had made a friendship bracelet for the singer but didn’t get the chance to give it to her.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis admitted (as per People) on the July 2023 episode with brother Jason Kelce. “So I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
That bracelet, Kelce added, would have had his number on it.
Taylor Confirms How It Really Started
Though the opportunity slipped at the concert, the gesture caught Swift’s attention. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told TIME in her December 2023 Person of the Year cover story.
The pop star shared that they began seeing each other privately soon after. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
Taylor even gave Travis sweet shoutouts in two of her new songs, “So High School” and “The Alchemy,” from her latest album Tortured Poets Department.
“Travis is so supportive of the entire album,” a source told E! News at the time, “and loves that he is a part of Taylor’s story.”
