Kansas City Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis and his fiancée, Kaia Harris, were married in a beautiful Greek ceremony this month. Of course, Karlaftis invited his teammate, Travis Kelce, and his fiancée, Taylor Swift.
Travis and Taylor attended the stunning celebration and danced the night away at the after-party at One&Only Aesthesis.
Despite being a high-profile couple, Travis and Taylor attended the wedding simply as guests and didn’t draw much attention to themselves.
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Embark on a European Vacation
According to the Huffington Post, George Karlaftis’ wedding was certainly an event to remember.
“It was one of those weddings that could easily have made international headlines, but the people who lived it made sure it remained what it was from the beginning: a very personal, familial and deeply moving moment,” the outlet noted.
The Huffington Post reports that their wedding was a three-day celebration that had incredibly tight security throughout.
“The guests kept their mobile phones turned off and had even handed them over for safekeeping. The publicity was left outside the door and all that was left was the emotion, the joy and the feeling that the groom returned to Greece for a reason much greater than a secular event,” the Post wrote.
GettyDespite being one of the biggest power couples on the planet, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift completely respected the bride and groom’s wishes. They kept low profiles at the event, but happily participated in dancing.
The Couple Looks Forward to Their Own Special Day
GettyFans have waited anxiously for updates as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce plan their own wedding.
On the “New Heights” podcast, the Kelce brothers interviewed golfer Rory McIlroy. He had some words of wisdom to share with the Kansas City Chiefs player.
“Travis, you’ll feel this this year whenever you’re sitting at your wedding, and you have all the people in a room … it’s amazing to have all these people in the same room from your childhood … and it’s surreal. It’s unbelievable,” the pro golfer said. “The only thing that I can compare it to is your wedding day because it’s like all this collection of people in the same room. It’s like wild.”
Travis gleefully replied that he “couldn’t wait” for that feeling.
Wedding plans are underway, but largely kept secret from the public. Even invited guests aren’t certain of every detail yet. Rob Shuter reports that guests received their save the dates, but they still don’t know where the wedding will take place.
“There’s a date — but no venue. And that’s completely intentional,” an insider told Shuter. “The truth is, no one knows exactly where it will be yet. Not even the guests.”
Understandably, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are trying to keep their wedding day as personal and intimate as possible.
“They want total control — and total privacy,” the insider continued. “Details won’t be shared, until the very last minute.”
Of course, the couple will share details of their special day when the time is right. Fans look forward to the event and wish the couple all the best.
