Travis Kelce was quick to flash his new gold wedding band during the season premiere of his popular New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed intimate details from his wedding to Taylor Swift, as details from the ceremony have been kept tightly under wraps.
“It’s a night out we’ll never forget,” Travis said. “Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had, throughout the entire evening and hearing that, kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man.”
The two were married on July 3 inside Madison Square Garden in front of tons of guests, which included many celebrities. And Jason, who stood new to his brother as he got married, praised the couple for the way they structured their wedding.
“The thing I really liked about this wedding, in particular, and the way you guys structured it was like, after all that was done, like, there wasn’t like the sit down formal stuff,” the former Philadelphia Eagles star said. “There wasn’t like a bunch of the speeches. It was just time to party and have fun. And that’s what made it so fun to for me to be there.”
Travis Kelce Reveals The One Thing He Wishes Was Different From His Wedding
Travis’s wedding night is one he will remember forever, but there was one thing he wishes could have happened differently that night.
“I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye,” he said.
“They kicked us out,” Jason chimed in.
“Well, once the drinks stopped being served, everyone kinda just starts to, you know, mosey out,” Travis replied.
Travis Kelce Raves About Adam Sandler’s Officiating Role
During the podcast, Kelce made sure to give a shout-out to one attendee in particular who had a very special role during the ceremony.
“I can’t say thank you to everyone without [giving] a special thank you to the Adam Sandler,” Travis stated. “He has been just the (expletive) best person on this planet. And for him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor in the way he did, in the very, you know, Sandman style and giving us more than we could have ever imagined in that moment, knowing that, it was the biggest night of both of our lives. It was, it was absolutely insane, man.”
Jason couldn’t agree more.
“When you said Adam was gonna be officiating the wedding, I initially, I was like, ‘Man, he’s gonna be hilarious,’ ” Jason recalled. “But it wasn’t until, like, right before the wedding that I realized, ‘Oh my god, he’s gonna crush this because there’s — well, I mean, obviously, he’s an entertainer and he’s hilarious, but there’s a sweetness in everything Adam does, like all of his movies. And, like, there’s a degree of it that I think really resonates with officiating a wedding.”
How Have Details Of The Wedding Been Kept So Private?
Kelce said there’s a specific reason why no photos have come out from the wedding. And that’s because there were no phones allowed.
“It was so cool to see how everybody interacted and with no phones comes people not having to be on guard and feel that whatever that feeling is for everyone,” Travis explained. “It was so cool to see how everybody interacted and with no phones comes people not having to be on guard and feel that whatever that feeling is for everyone,” Travis recalled.
