As fans of Taylor Swift get to know Travis Kelce better, it’s becoming increasingly clear that her new husband is a man of many talents.
One of these was on display during a recent Kansas City Chiefs practice, when the 36-year-old tight end wore a mic throughout — and demonstrated that his wife isn’t the only singer in the family.

The Chiefs recently released a video compilation of some of Kelce’s most memorable mic’d-up moments from the practice.
As viewers can see, Kelce has a tendency to amuse himself by singing songs — sometimes tunes he makes up out of thin air.
“Nothing better than being crazy. You gotta be a little crazy to be great,” Kelce says in the video.
Among the highlights are Kelce delivering an impromptu rendition of Brooks & Dunn’s 1991 country music hit “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” singing, “It’s where all the cowboys all go to boot scootin’ boogie.”
A Breakfast-Inspired Ditty
In the clip, Kelce can also be seen talking with his teammates.
“Life is good man… life is real good. Three more nights? Man, year of my life in those dorms, man,” he says, insisting he’s enjoying living in a dorm room.
He then proceeds to heap praise on that morning’s team breakfast.
“Woo boy, I know you guys didn’t have none of that Japanese French toast this morning, but that [expletive] was amazing,” Kelce declared. “Yeah, they made that [expletive] fresh!”
He wasn’t done, and had more to say about that amazing French toast. “In the caf, bruh!” he exclaimed. “I looked at it and was like, ‘What kind of French toast is this?’ and he was like, ‘Japanese bread.’ I was like, ‘Hell yeah!’”
So impressed was Kelce by that morning’s breakfast that he improvised a song about it, making up lyrics on the spot.
“Yeah! Bread and butter! Get that bread and butter, yeah!” he sang.
The video concludes with Kelce tackling an oldie but goodie, 1969’s “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” from singer B.J. Thomas.
More Mic’d Moments
This isn’t the first time that Kelce has delivered hilarity while wearing a mic on the football field.
Last year, the Chiefs unveiled a compilation video featuring some his funniest moments from training camp and the season that followed.
“I can’t see with this thing on,” Kelce admits of this helmet-mic rig after a teammate jokingly tells him, “Your melon looks so big with that thing on.”
At another point in the video, Kelce hilariously informs listeners, “They call me El Travador!”
That’s followed by a clip in which he drops to the ground and rolls around. “Sometimes just rolling around in wet grass, like, gets you woke,” he observes. “Just a few rolls, get dirty real quick. You’re kind of lathered up there.”
In another segment, he echoes the catchphrase of enthusiastic ‘Ted Lasso” soccer star Dani Rojas (played by real-life soccer pro Cristo Fernández) by declaring “Football is life!”
The video concludes with Kelce proclaiming “The funnest year of my life!”
