Maria Georgas Returns to Reality TV for First Time Since ‘Bachelor’

Maria Georgas is officially back.

The “Bachelor” fan favorite is returning to reality TV for the first time since her run on season 28, joining the cast of Hulu’s new competition series, “The Mob.”

The 31-year-old, who became one of the most talked-about contestants on Joey Graziadei’s season, was eliminated in the eighth week—a moment that sparked strong reactions from viewers who had hoped to see her go further, or even take on a future lead role (Jenn Tran was ultimately tapped as the next Bachelorette from Graziadei’s season).

Georgas’ casting marks her first reality TV appearance since 2024.

Another face from Bachelor Nation is also along for the ride: Shane Parton. He was cast for season 22 of “The Bachelorette” starring Taylor Frankie Paul, which was ultimately scrapped by ABC just days before its planned premiere after a video surfaced showing a physical altercation between “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

What Is ‘The Mob’?

“The Mob” is a new reality competition that drops a group of celebrities into an upscale Italian villa, where they’ll compete in challenges inspired by classic mob films, according to Deadline.

Parker Posey is hosting the series, marking her first foray into the reality competition space following her role on “The White Lotus.”

The Hulu show’s format centers on strategy and control. Contestants will take on various tasks while navigating alliances within the house, all under the authority of a rotating “don,” the outlet reports. “That player holds significant power, including decisions about who earns money, who remains in the game, and who is eliminated.

‘Bachelor’ Breakout Star Maria Georgas Is One to Watch

Georgas made a lasting impression during her time on “The Bachelor,” becoming a standout for her personality, confidence, and on-screen presence.

The Canada-born contestant, who was 29 during filming, exited in week 8 of the show. In the weeks prior, she’s remembered for being at the center of drama, being called a “bully” by girls in the house. She vehemently denied these claims in conversations with Graziadei, who ultimately sent her home due to “doubts” he had about their relationship and future.

Her exit left many viewers disappointed. Some even called for her to be named the next Bachelorette. While that didn’t happen, Georgas has since built a strong following online with over half-a-million followers on Instagram.

Now, she’s stepping into a very different kind of game. But her personality and background could make her a natural fit for the format, especially in a setting that embraces Italian culture and family dynamics (remember Georgas’ dad’s appearance on the show?).

“The Mob” is set to premiere some time in 2026, although an exact date has not yet been announced.
