Four months after declaring he was done with getting tattoos, heavily-inked Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” coach Adam Levine has clearly changed his mind.
On November 6, 2025, Levine posted a photo of the stunning new tattoo he got while on a tour stop in Nashville and wrote, “roses for the reaper by @nathan_kostechko 🌹🌹🌹.” At least five pink-hued roses now grace the lower part of Levine’s head, surrounding a grim reaper tattoo that already existed on his neck.

Levine has limited comments on his Instagram account, so only a couple of friends were able to weigh in on his new tattoo, but nearly 25,000 followers have liked the image he shared.
Tattoo artist Nathan Kostechko’s Los Angeles-based Nathan’s Lounge also posted the photo of Levine, noting that Kostechko “made a pit stop for @adamlevine in Nashville to add some love and life to an existing reaper tattoo while @maroon5 is on their US Tour.”
Adam Levine Got a Head Tattoo in 2024
This is not the first tattoo to appear on Levine’s head. His body is covered in tattoos, including a large design he got above his ear in July 2024. Artist Scott Campbell shared a TikTok video revealing the detailed process of creating a design for the right side of Levine’s head.

Adam Levine Called Himself ‘Psychotic’ for Getting New Arm Sleeve
GettyLevine’s new ink comes as a surprise, given that the rocker told Today.com in July that he was getting too old to deal with the pain of getting tattooed. The revelation came after Levine got the sleeve on his left arm redone.
“I covered up my sleeve with another sleeve,” he told the outlet. “Who does that? What is wrong with me? Psychotic.”
“It really hurt,” he admitted. “I’m kind of done with the pain, I’ve decided … now, I’ve softened. Now, when I get a tattoo, I’m like, ‘This hurts so badly.’ Like, ‘What’s wrong?’ We’re done.”
Levine also told Today.com he was running out of room for more tattoos on his body and that he’d promised not to touch his face with any new ink.
Maroon 5’s “Love is Like” tour is scheduled to wrap up in Detroit on November 25. Levine will be back on “The Voice” as a coach for season 29, expected to premiere in early 2026.
Seems like low self esteem to do things that hurt and disfigure. Not an act of self love.
