Fans tuning into tonight’s episode of “The Voice” are already getting a behind-the-scenes treat; and honestly, it might be the most adorable sneak peek of the season.
John Legend is back in the coach’s chair for Season 29 alongside Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson. Episode 4, titled “The Battles Premiere,” airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
But before the competition even kicked off, someone else decided to grab the spotlight for a minute… Legend’s daughter, Luna.
The 9-year-old filmed an absolutely delightful behind-the-scenes video while visiting the set, and her dad shared it with fans on Instagram on March 16, 2026 with the caption:
“Luna Legend: The Voice’s newest correspondant.”
And let’s be real; it seems like she might have a future in entertainment reporting.
Luna Legend Gives Fans a Behind-the-Scenes Tour
The video begins with Luna proudly introducing her assignment for the day.
“I came to work with my dad today on ‘The Voice’ Battles,” she says, as the instantly recognizable stage sits behind her.
From there, she turns into a full-on tour guide. Luna walks viewers through backstage hallways and various stage areas, narrating as she goes. The vibe is casual, curious, and very much a kid excited to be where the action is happening.
Eventually, she reaches her seat and signs off; at least temporarily. “This is the stage stuff. And I gotta stop filming now. We’re in our seats and it’s about to start.”
But of course, the reporting doesn’t end there. The video later cuts to Luna greeting her dad, who seems fully on board with her new gig.
“Hi, Luna! It’s time for battles,” Legend tells her, clearly amused by the moment.
In another clip, Luna adorably shushes the camera while filming. “Shh, my dad’s doing a video.” That’s a total pro move.
GettyLuna Interviews the Coaches & Chaos Ensues
The real comedy kicks in when Luna decides to interview the other coaches. First up is Levine, and things go off the rails in the best way possible.
Luna asks him to “Say something interesting.” So naturally, Levine responds, “Something interesting?”
From there, the exchange spirals into playful chaos. Luna eventually clarifies that she wants him “To say words,” which leads Levine to reply with the perfectly literal response: “Words.”
Luna immediately shuts it down. “No.”
Levine then launches into a hilarious mini speech: “Something. The thing about things is that they’re super great and I love things. Yeah, things.”
The moment feels exactly like the kind of goofy backstage energy fans love seeing from the coaches.

PeacockLuna also chats with Clarkson, and their interaction is just as sweet… though much calmer. The two discuss their favorite colors, with Clarkson revealing hers first.
“Green,” she says, before asking Luna the same question.
“Um, I think I like green, pink, and purple,” Luna replies.
Finally, Luna circles back to Levine with one more question; and it might be the most competitive moment of the whole clip. “Why do you think you can beat my dad?”
Levine confidently answers: “Because I’m awesome, and even though your dad is awesome, I am more awesome.”
Fans Are Getting the Ultimate BTS Moment
Moments like this are exactly why fans love seeing what happens off-camera on shows like “The Voice.”
The coaches may be fierce when the Battles begin, but Luna’s mini interviews show the playful side of the set. It’s relaxed, funny, and full of those unscripted interactions that viewers rarely get to see.
And Luna handled the assignment like a pro. She gave the tour, asked the questions and even knew to keep quiet when filming. Not bad for a first day on the job.
It seems like fans might have just met “The Voice’s” newest correspondent; and judging by this video, she’s already nailing it.
“The Voice” airs Mondays at 9:00pm ET on NBC, streaming next day on Peacock.
