Snoop Dogg, the legendary hip-hop musician who joined “The Voice” as a coach in September 2024, has lost his newest grandchild. Snoop’s daughter, 26-year-old Cori Broadus, announced in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Saturday, January 31 that the new baby she and her fiancé Wayne Deuce welcomed last February has passed away. Cori announced she was expecting the baby back in December 2024.
Snoop Dogg’s Baby Granddaughter Died 20 Days After Leaving the NICU
The baby daughter of Snoop’s daughter, Cori, was born prematurely at 25 weeks gestation on February 28, 2025. She spent almost a year in the NICU before Cori joyfully announced she was able to bring the baby home in early January 2026.
Cori snuggled in a sweet Instagram snap she shared on January 6 which she captioned, “She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”
But on January 31, Broadus shared the tragic news on her Instagram Stories that her baby girl passed away 20 days later. She wrote, “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.” She emphasized the message with an angel wing emoji, before quickly uploaded another photo, which was a repost from the day she brough Codi home. She captioned that post, “20 days later?! Dawg I’m sick.”
Fans and friends quickly rushed to comfort Cori. Rising hip-hop star Sexyy Red wrote, “I’m sorry sister” on Cori’s photo with her daughter. Another friend commented, “Sorry for you loss baby girl.”
Fans offered their condolences as well. One wrote, “No one talks about losing a child u never really get to see grow older. From one mommy of an angel to another, we are praying for you!”

He shared a photo of Cori posing with him, their father Snoop Dogg, and the artist Kalvin Love, and wrote, “Lil sis we got your forever.”
Back in February 2025, three days before her baby girl’s premature arrival, Cori happily showed her adorable bump in a set of sweet photos. “Stepping for two,” she wrote alongside the cute snaps of herself posing in an L.A. Dodgers hat.
On February 28, Broadus shared the first glimpse of her daughter in a photo of her tiny foot.
