“90 Day Fiancé” star Armando Niedermeier-Rubio is giving fans a hopeful update on his daughter Hannah’s recovery.
The TLC star took to Instagram on Friday, Aug. 7, to thank followers for continuing to support Hannah and share the latest on her health after she suffered a medical emergency.
Armando Says Hannah Is Doing Better
Armando began by expressing his gratitude to everyone who has reached out with messages, prayers and well wishes for his daughter.
“Hannah is doing better,” he said.
He explained that the family spent much of the past week attending medical appointments and focusing on Hannah’s rehabilitation.
“Actually this past week we were focused on, she had doctors appointments and she’s in physical therapy and rehab so a lot of your time was doing that,” Armando shared.
He went on to say that Hannah has made noticeable progress during her recovery.
“But yeah she has progressed very well,” he said.
One improvement has been particularly encouraging for the family. Armando explained that Hannah’s vision has gotten better since her medical emergency.
“For example even her eyesight, she used to not be able to see straight ahead, now those blind spots are just on the sides,” he said.
Armando described Hannah’s progress as something he is “extremely grateful for,” but acknowledged that the family is still searching for answers about what caused her medical emergency.
“Unfortunately as a whole there’s not diagnosis still as to why the brain bleed [occurred],” he said.
The uncertainty has understandably been difficult for Armando as a father. He explained that not knowing why Hannah experienced the brain bleed remains frightening, particularly because the family wants to prevent it from happening again.
He said he is continuing to pray and hope that the medical emergency “never never repeats itself.”
Hannah Still Has a Long Road to Recovery
Armando also explained that Hannah has undergone numerous appointments and scans as doctors monitor her recovery. He noted that doctors have told the family that healing from a brain bleed can be a very slow process.
For now, the family is taking Hannah’s recovery one day at a time.
Armando said she is slowly beginning to become more like her old self, which has given the family additional encouragement during what has been an incredibly difficult period.
The family remains together in Arizona while Hannah continues her recovery.
“We’re still here in Arizona,” Armando said, emphasizing that they remain “together and united as a family.”
He concluded the update by thanking fans again for their continued support.
Armando has been open about Hannah’s health journey in part because of the encouragement the family has received from those following along.
Fans Flood the Comments With Support
Fans quickly filled the comments with messages of support and continued prayers for Hannah.
“Thank you for taking the time to update everyone, as a parent u know this is tough to do. Many continued prayers for all of you,” one person wrote.
“I am so happy to hear this please tell Hannah we love her and we are keeping her in our prayers and thoughts,” another fan added.
“So good to hear she’s doing better. She’s always in my prayers sending her big hugs and positive thoughts,” a third person wrote.
Others reassured Armando that he did not need to apologize for taking time away from social media while caring for his daughter.
Hannah Entered the Hospital in July
The update comes after Armando revealed in July that Hannah had suffered a medical emergency and was transported from Mexico to a hospital in Arizona.
Although she was initially discharged, the family faced another scare when Hannah returned to the hospital just days later.
Armando was also unable to originally be with his daughter as he has had visa issues while coming to the U.S. He has since receive a humanitarian visa.
Now, Armando says Hannah is continuing to make progress as the family remains focused on her recovery and finding answers.
