Jinger Duggar Vuolo Opens Up About the Most Rewarding Part of Raising Her Son

Jinger Duggar Vuolo rose to fame on the TLC reality show, “19 Kids and Counting.” The sixth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children, Jinger began filming for her family’s reality show when she was just 14 years old.

Now at 32, Jinger has moved on from her reality TV days. However, the former reality star is no stranger to the camera. She and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, host a weekly podcast on their YouTube channel, where they discuss their lives and interview guests.

On a recent episode of “The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast,” Jeremy asked his wife about the hardest part of raising their son this past year, as well as the most rewarding. Read on to discover what the Duggar daughter had to share.

Jinger Duggar Vuolo Shares the Most Rewarding Part of Her Son’s First Year

Jinger and Jeremy welcomed their third child and first son, Finnegan Charles, into the world on March 30, 2025. Now, having just celebrated Finn’s first birthday, the couple sat down to reminisce about the past year.

Jinger shared that her most cherished moments over the past year with Finn have been simply soaking in how cuddly her son has become.

The mom of three shared with fans that her son is always on the move and hardly ever sits still. She said it’s especially meaningful when he comes over and rests his head on her knee, calling it “the cutest thing ever.”

Jinger Duggar Vuolo Reveals the Toughest Part of Finn’s First Year

Along with sharing the most rewarding parts of her first year as a boy mom, Jinger also shared the harder side of it. The former reality star revealed that the toughest part for her over the past year was when Finn started walking. She laughed and added, “and chasing him everywhere.”

The Duggar daughter went on to explain that part of the challenge comes from the house they live in. She discussed the difficulty of chasing an on-the-move toddler when there are three sets of stairs in the main living area, and a fourth set in another area.

The Vuolos purchased their nearly $2 million home in Santa Clarita, California, in the summer of 2024. Built in 1980, their 4,696-square-foot Tudor-style home sits on 5 acres.

While the couple talked about baby gates being an option, they ultimately agreed that, given that they would need so many, it wasn’t actually a feasible solution. As a result, Jinger and Jeremy have opted to teach Finn how to navigate the stairs.

Still, the parents keep a watchful eye on him, which can be challenging, especially with two older children: Felicity (7) and Evangeline (5), to keep up with, too.

Finn Vuolo Might Just Follow in His Father’s Footsteps

With Finn already on the move, it seems like the toddler might just follow in his father’s soccer-playing footsteps. Jeremy Vuolo played collegiate soccer at Hartwick and Syracuse before going pro. The 38-year-old had a brief professional career, signing with the New York Red Bulls as a goalkeeper in 2012.

It seems that Finn might just have inherited his father’s athletic ability, too. Jinger and Jeremy revealed that while both of their daughters didn’t start walking until 14 months, Finn found his footing by 9 months old.

Jeremy also shared that Finn is already running and climbing on everything at just 12 months of age. For Jeremy, the biggest indicator that his son might have some potential on the soccer field in the future is that the toddler has already learned to backpedal quickly. He jokingly added, “The homie is agile.”

While Finn’s soccer future is still up in the air, Jinger and Jeremy made it clear to fans that their son’s first year has been a mix of challenges, milestones, and meaningful moments.
