Jinger Duggar Vuolo, daughter of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, grew up in front of cameras on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” and later the spin-off series, “Counting On.” While the 32-year-old doesn’t film for reality TV anymore, she still finds herself in front of the camera quite a bit.
Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, record a weekly YouTube podcast, “The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast.” In light of recent news regarding Jinger’s younger brother, Joseph Duggar, the couple took a break from their regularly scheduled content to thank fans for their continued prayers and support.
Jinger Duggar Vuolo Addresses Situation Involving Her Brother, Joseph Duggar
At the top of “The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast” episode, the couple addressed the news about Joe Duggar. While the couple acknowledged how difficult the news was to hear, they made sure to express gratitude to their fans for praying for them during this time.
Jeremy addressed fans directly, admitting, “We really wanted to just take a moment to let you know how we’re processing this. This was devastating news to hear. When we got the news last week… It’s been a really difficult week of trying to process this. A week of us crying out to the Lord, asking for mercy and grace for those affected by this.”
Jeremy then turned the mic over to Jinger and asked how she’s been holding up. The former TLC star admitted, “It’s been such a long week. It’s been one of those weeks that feels like years, and I did not think that my heart could break like it has this week.”
The Duggar daughter added, “The pain and heartbreak that we’ve had over this, and just thinking of how it’s affected so many. Yeah. It’s just unthinkable.”
Jinger Duggar Vuolo Is The Closest Duggar Sibling in Age to Joseph Duggar
Longtime fans can understand how challenging this week must have been for Jinger, given how close she was with her younger brother, Joseph, when they were growing up in Arkansas. Being just 13 months apart, Jinger is the closest Duggar sibling in age to Joseph. As a result, the siblings share many childhood memories together.
In the Duggar family lineup, Jinger and Joseph could be considered “middle children.” However, with 19 kids, it’s difficult to define exactly where that line falls. At any rate, Jinger is the fifth child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, with Joseph following as the sixth.
The siblings older than Jinger and Joseph are Josh Duggar, Jana Wissmann, John-David Duggar, Jill Dillard, and Jessa Seewald.

Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Joseph Duggar Both Have Families of Their Own
Since their childhood days in Arkansas, both Jinger and Joseph have gotten married and started families. Of the two Duggar siblings, Jinger was the first to leave the nest. She married former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo in November 2016.
Jeremy’s work as a pastor first took the couple to Texas before eventually leading them to California. The couple now resides in Santa Clarita, California, purchasing a nearly $2 million home in 2024.
The Vuolos share three children: Felicity, Evangeline, and Finnegan. While the couple is very vocal on their podcast and active on social media, they largely try to keep their children out of the public eye.
Unlike Jinger, Joseph has remained in Arkansas and currently lives in Springdale. Joseph Duggar married Kendra Caldwell less than a year after Jinger and Jeremy tied the knot, in September 2017. Along with being a licensed real estate agent like his parents, Joseph Duggar is a fifth-generation house flipper.
Like Jinger and Jeremy, Joseph and Kendra are also parents. The couple shares at least three children: Garrett, Addison, and Brooklyn. Kendra Duggar left social media in 2021, and fans have speculated that the couple welcomed at least one more child into the family since that time. Recent records have listed Joseph Duggar as a father of four. However, the couple has yet to publicly acknowledge any additional children.
For now, Jeremy and Jinger remain focused on their faith and the support of their fans.
