“When Calls the Heart” fans are reacting with excitement after a new teaser revealed Nathan Grant preparing to take a major step in his relationship with Elizabeth Thornton.
The preview clip from the upcoming season 13 episode titled “Blessings” shows Nathan working with his niece Allie to secretly learn Elizabeth’s ring size. The scene features a lighthearted plan involving baking cookies together.
Nathan explains the idea in the clip.
“This plan is foolproof. Elizabeth loves making cookies,” Nathan says.
He asks Allie if Elizabeth will remove her ring while baking.
“You’re sure she’s going to take her ring off?” Nathan asks.
Allie confidently responds, “Well, I’m sure she doesn’t want sticky cookie dough all over it!”
Nathan then announces the plan.
“The cookie caper is operational,” he says.
The scene continues as Elizabeth arrives to help Allie bake cookies. Nathan joins them and jokes about his role in the town.
“I hope you know, as the Constable in this town, I get to impose a cookie tax,” Nathan says.
Elizabeth quickly joins the fun.
“Oh, well, that’ll be a lot of dough,” Elizabeth responds.
However, the plan does not go exactly as expected when Elizabeth decides to use a wooden spoon instead of mixing with her hands, preventing Nathan from seeing her ring size.

“This season, Nathan has a big question he mustache Elizabeth,” McGarry said in the clip.
The storyline has also been referenced within the show itself. Elizabeth’s son, Little Jack, has asked several questions about whether Nathan might become part of their family.
Meanwhile, both actors are experiencing major life milestones away from the series.
Krakow is expecting her first child with husband and fellow “When Calls the Heart” cast member Ben Rosenbaum. McGarry and his wife, former “When Calls the Heart” actor Kayla Wallace, are also expecting a baby.
