Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy attended the third Annual Gotham Television Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, June 1. The couple walked the red carpet hand in hand and even engaged in light PDA when the actress kissed her husband tenderly on the cheek.

Dancy opted for a classic black suit with a white button-down shirt and a black bowtie. Their monochromatic outfits complemented each other, resulting in timeless elegance.

GettyDanes and Dancy are no strangers to prestigious events and have walked many red carpets together throughout their relationship, and fans love to see them. This night was also particularly special for Danes, who received the Performer Tribute for her contributions to the entertainment industry.
The announcement of her award was shared on the official Gotham Instagram account in May. In the caption, Danes was described as a worthy recipient because of her “extraordinary career of remarkable performances – including her starring role in Netflix’s ‘The Beast in Me.’”
It continued, “Three-time Primetime Emmy Award winner and four-time Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes has been one of the most compelling performers in American film and television since her teens. She first gained widespread recognition starring in the acclaimed 1994 teen drama series ‘My So-Called Life,’ and has since starred in HBO’s ‘Temple Grandin,’ Showtime’s landmark drama ‘Homeland,’ Apple TV+’s ‘The Essex Serpent,’ FX on Hulu’s ‘Fleishman Is in Trouble,’ and Netflix’s hit series ‘The Beast in Me.’”

GettyDanes and Dancy are former co-stars who met on the set of the 2007 film “Evening.” Reflecting on their meeting in an interview with Marie Claire in 2017, Danes said, “I was very recently single, and I had never been single before, so we were just friends for a while.” She continued, “[Hugh and I] met in Rhode Island when it was at its most audaciously beautiful, in the fall. And there was one day when we were bicycling by the water, and it was sparkly and idyllic, and I just had this dumb epiphany, like, ‘I’m really just happy.’”
The couple is also parents to three children and has been together for almost two decades. A significant relationship milestone, and Danes has discussed how her parents taught her what a healthy long-term relationship looks like.
“My mum Carla taught me that a long marriage can work,” Danes told The Sun, People reports. “My parents have been together since they were 18, so I am privileged to have them as role models. I like marriage. I feel very secure. It helps when you are in love with the person you are married to. I do sometimes look at him and think: ‘You are really handsome.’ He keeps me sane and happy.”
