Kelley Wolf is taking responsibility for a painful year and thanking those who helped her recover. In a statement, the reality star apologized to her estranged husband and Hallmark fan favorite and “Party of Five” alum Scott Wolf, their children, and others affected by her mental health crisis.
The former MTV Star, 49, shared the 11-page statement on Instagram on Friday, August 28, opening with gratitude.

“Sometimes words fall short… but love never does. Thank you for all the love, grace, and encouragement you have shown me and our family. My gratitude is immeasurable,” she wrote.
The author and life coach, who appeared on MTV’s “The Real World: New Orleans” in 2000 and won “The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons” in 2002, described struggling to begin.
“Wow…I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this. How do I even start? It’s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help,” she wrote.

Kelley credited her treatment team with helping her understand the episode. She wrote that she was diagnosed with “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis.”
She attributed the episode to stress, past trauma, hormonal changes and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medication. She wrote in bold, “I am so sorry.”
Kelley apologized to Scott for putting him through a “nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script” and said her posts were not “based in truth or reality.”
“I have spent my life believing in love, hope kindness, and compassion,” she wrote. “What I became was the opposite. Cruel. Vicious. Mean.”
Scott and Kelley Wolf Faced a Difficult Year
Kelley announced their separation in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage. Scott, 58, later called filing for divorce “the most difficult decision of my life” and said their children remained their priority, People reported.
Two days later, Kelley was placed under a psychiatric hold after a friend requested a wellness check, as per the outlet. Scott later received temporary custody of their children and a temporary restraining order, People reported in June 2025.
Kelley was arrested in August over alleged online harassment and doxxing, then admitted to a mental health facility again in September.
Following an evaluation, a court ordered her to remain under psychiatric care for at least 60 days, according to the outlet.
Scott Wolf Shows Support as Family Moves Forward
The family offered a hopeful sign in February when Kelley and Scott shared photos from a day at Universal Studios with their three children. S
His response to Kelley’s new statement was quiet but unmistakably supportive. The “Doc” star posted five red heart emojis beneath her apology.
Followers also filled the comments with compassion, praising Kelley for seeking treatment, accepting responsibility and speaking honestly about her recovery.
Her statement did not erase the pain she described, but it marked a public step toward accountability and healing for the family.
