‘Idol’ Alum Gabby Samone Was Joined by Her Dad for a Special Performance: VIDEO

“American Idol” season 23 top 7 finalist Gabby Samone was joined by a very special guest during her performance at City Winery in Philadelphia. Samone’s dad, Keith, appeared onstage with the singer for a rendition of the gospel song “I Need Thee.”

It’s clear to see where Samone got her vocal chops as her dad brought the house down with his soulful voice. Samone began the song then handed the microphone off to her dad whose rendition was impressive to say the least.

The performance was captured on video and posted on Samone’s Instagram where fans showed their appreciation in the comments. “I enjoyed this so much, it was definitely the icing on the cake,” one fan wrote. “Her family showed up and showed out.”

Another fan commented, “Dad was finna open the doors of the church! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ”

Even superstar “Idol” alum Jennifer Hudson chimed in to say, “SANG DAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Throwing shoes.”

Gabby Samone Said Her Dad Was Her Favorite Singer

This was not the first time fans got to experience the voice of Samone’s talented father. In June of 2024 she posted an amazing throwback video of her and her family singing in church.

“My dad is literally my favorite singer ever!” Samone captioned the clip. “They can all sing though and my mama!”

Over the video Samone wrote “My dad just casually KILLING!” in reference to her dad leading the song with his strong vocals. The clip also featured a very young Samone looking adorable in a dress, white tights, Mary Jane shoes, and a black shawl. She was joined by her three brothers and other family members as well.

Samone’s ‘Idol’ Family Came Out to Support Her Too

The next stop on Samone’s tour was City Winery in New York City on August 27 where her friend and fellow “Idol” alum Kolbi Jordan came out to support her.

In a sweet set of pics posted to Jordan’s Instagram the two are posing together looking gorgeous along with another season 23 contestant, Lashon.

“So so so so so proud of my sister! If you werenโ€™t at her show last night- you missed out!” Jordan captioned the photo carousel.

She continued praising Samone, writing, “She sang her entire face off. Beautiful inside and out. I LOVE YOU,” adding, “Also good to see my beautiful Idol sisterย @lashonofficiallย โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ”

We love to see these talented women showing up for each other!
