Love is in the air, and Ryan Seacrest is looking to find it.
The longtime host of “American Idol” and newest “Wheel of Fortune” co-host recently made comments about searching to find love on dating apps during a “Love Is in the Air”-themed episode of “Wheel of Fortune” from March 16. While being surrounded by other couples, Seacrest also playfully admitted his feelings towards being single.
Seacrest Jokes About the State of His Love Life on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
Getty“I love ‘Love Is in the Air,'” Seacrest told his co-host Vanna White, who he called a “newlywed” after her recent wedding with John Donaldson, per E! News. “And I’ll be on Tinder tonight, so I can find it.”
Seacrest also addressed the fact that he was the only single person on stage while three couples competed for the prizes. “I am so lonely up here,” the co-host joked.
This isn’t the first time Seacrest has made comments about his dating life on the show. During a March 11 episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” the co-host revealed his biggest fear—relationships, per Closer Weekly.
While Seacrest was talking with contestant Jill McDaniel, she revealed that she has “discussion dinners” with her friends where they ask each other interesting questions. Seacrest wondered what type of questions she asked at the dinners, so McDaniel gave an example. “What is your biggest fear?” she asked.
Seacrest went on to ask White the question, to which she responded, “Oh, my biggest fear? Erm … spiders? Spiders is a big one. How about you?”
“Relationships,” Seacrest replied.
McDaniel gave Seacrest a fist bump for his honesty.
“We are each other’s people,” Seacrest told the contestant.
All About Seacrest’s Relationship With Aubrey Paige
GettySeacrest and model Aubrey Paige first went public with their relationship in May 2021 when they were spotted together in the Hamptons celebrating Memorial Day, according to PEOPLE. Seacrest and Paige attended a number of events over the course of their three-year relationship, including the LACMA 2022 Collectors Committee Gala and the premiere of former “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez’s documentary, “Halftime,” in June 2022.
Besides these public appearances together, the pair kept their relationship fairly private, except for a few glimpses on social media.
“Safe to say the best part of 2021 was meeting the most incredible man 😍🙌🏼 Wishing everyone love, happiness, safety & health in 2022 🥂,” wrote Paige in the caption of her December 31, 2021 Instagram post, featuring a sweep snap of the ex-couple.
Paige was also in the audience supporting Seacrest during his farewell from “Live with Kelly Ripa” after his six-year run as co-host. The model later shared a message to Seacrest in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. “Ryan, never have I ever met a more inspiring man. You make it look so easy, but the truth is there is just nobody quite like you. I am so beyond proud of you. Not just for your work ethic, but for your caring heart and the genuine love that you give to others,” she wrote, per Page Six.
Seacrest and Paige ended their relationship in April 2024.
“After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE at the time.
“They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors.”
A representative for Seacrest confirmed the split to the outlet.
