Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” alums Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix teamed up to open Something About Her, a sandwich shop in West Hollywood that officially opened its doors in May 2024, after months of unexpected challenges from construction setbacks to city permits.
Unlike their former co-stars and ex-partners Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval, whose second venture, Schwartz & Sandy’s, closed after two years in 2024, Something About Her continues to thrive, serving up delicious bites to the Hollywood community.
Katie Maloney Shares Updates on Her & Ariana Madix’s Something About Her Sandwich Shop
GettyIn a March 13 interview on the “Gabbing with Gib” podcast, “Vanderpump Rules” alum Katie Maloney shared a positive update on her and Ariana Madix’s sandwich shop, Something About Her.
“It’s going really good. It’s definitely been such an educational couple of years, almost,” she said. The shop will be celebrating its 2nd anniversary this May.
“It will be two years in May,” she shared. “A lot of stuff to iron out and learn in the first year. For the first while, the first six months, we were extremely busy.”
Maloney went on to share that she and Madix had wanted to expand their business into catering, but never got around to it because they were so busy when they first opened.
“We couldn’t quite work into our catering side of things or be available on delivery online, whether it’s Uber Eats or Postmates, because we just still needed to figure out what our prep schedule is going to look like. How much do we need to prep? There was so much to figure out. It was hard to manage all that while we were simply trying to serve everyone that lined up that way,”she shared.
Maloney added that once she and Madix had gotten the hang of things, they began to introduce online orders and catering.
“It’s been wonderful to work into more online orders because I feel like we have so much business that we can do online. The same with catering. We’re really trying to work more into the catering. Just different things to get people excited coming in, doing limited runs on sandwiches. But it’s just a lot of fun,” she told the host.
She continued, “We have a really wonderful community in West Hollywood. A lot of return, repeat customers, people in the neighborhood. I love a neighborhood restaurant vibe, so that’s been a lot of fun. But I’m excited for the future.”
Maloney Is Still Going Strong With Her Boyfriend Nick Martin
In her recent podcast interview, the host noted that Maloney seemed to be thriving, saying, It just feels like you’re in such a great spot in your life. You seem so happy, good…” It was a sentiment that Maloney wholeheartedly agreed with.
Beyond the success of her sandwich shop and her “Disrespectfully” podcast, Maloney has also credited much of her happiness to her relationship with boyfriend Nick Martin.
During an October 2024 episode of her podcast, Maloney confirmed she was in a relationship, and it was later confirmed in December that she was dating the Sleeping with Sirens musician.
To honor Maloney’s recent birthday in January, Martin shared a touching Instagram post, sharing his favorite moments with the reality star. In his caption, he called Maloney “the love of my life.”

In February, Maloney shared photos of the couple and their friends, including Dayna Kathan and Ariana Madix, celebrating her 40th birthday in Turks and Caicos.
