“Vanderpump Rules” star Scheana Shay is defending her former castmate, Kristen Doute.
On the December 20 episode of her podcast, “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay,” Shay noted that “Vanderpump Rules” executive producer Lisa Vanderpump spoke about Doute’s pregnancy during a December 2024 interview with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap.” While filming the “Housewives Nightcap” interview, Vanderpump asked who the father of Doute’s child is.
During her December 20 podcast episode, Shay said she believed that Vanderpump’s remark was “unprofessional” and “super shady.” In addition, Shay noted that Vanderpump is an executive producer for the Bravo series, “The Valley,” which stars Doute and her fiance, Luke Broderick, the father of her unborn child.
“Lisa is a producer on ‘The Valley.’ Like you know who Luke is. You know he’s a cast member on this show. This season, they get engaged. And if you don’t know who someone is on a show that you’re producing, then why is your name in the credits as a producer?” asked Shay on her podcast.
In addition, Shay said she found Vanderpump’s comment distasteful, as Doute has been open about having a miscarriage last year.
“So knowing the struggles that Kristen has openly shared on her path to becoming a mother and her pregnancy loss. And all that, it’s like, even if you don’t like someone, it’s just kind of distasteful on this topic of motherhood. It’s like how hard is it to say ‘I wish her the best?'” said Shay.
Shay also theorized why Vanderpump is not a fan of Doute, who exited “Vanderpump Rules” in 2020.
“I feel like because Kristen has always stood up to her and has never just bowed down,” said Shay.
Kristen Doute Announced She Was Having a Baby Girl in December
On December 10, Doute announced that she and Broderick will soon be parents to a baby girl on Instagram. The upload featured a picture of an excited Doute and Broderick with their arms around each other before a plume of pink smoke.
“baby girl on the way 🪷💕💫,” read the caption of the post.
Several Bravo stars took the time to congratulate Doute in the post’s comments section.
“🎀 so excited for you!! Ahhh a baby girl to spoil!! 🩷,” wrote “The Valley” star Brittany Cartwright.
“YESSSSSSS THE SECRET IS OUT!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh! 😍😍😍,” commented Shay.
“You’re literally glowing!!!!” added former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Jill Zarin.
Kristen Doute Said She & Her Fiance ‘Are so Thrilled’ to Have a Girl
In a December 2024 interview with People magazine, Doute said she and Broderick “are so thrilled to be having a little girl.” In addition, she said that she and her fiance were surprised because they believed that they “were having a boy.”
“We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives together and to soon welcome our baby girl next summer,” said Doute to the publication.
Looks like Scheana found a voice after all these years. She better watch out. Pretty sure many of us weren’t thrilled that Scheana is going to be on the Valley this coming season. If LVP is a producer, as Schaena says… that means Scheana is on there and can easily be kicked off the show. I don’t think too many will be disappointed. Hoping Scheana being on the Valley doesn’t include Brock. I am not saying Scheana is wrong, she is not. Lisa’s comment made her look very petty… But Scheana talking on a podcast as opposed to saying it to Lisa’s face…. like day and night…
Lisa vanderpump is old news. No one watches her shows anymore. Under the tons of makeup, you see the evil of her true self. Very telling how she remarked about Kristin. Go Kristin!
I’ve always was a Kristen girl. Most everybody treated her badly. But I’m so glad she found her true love. And yea a baby girl. Congratulations Kristen and thank God you waited for the right guy. He’s a handsome heck of a nice guy. The way Tom Scandoval treated you was discusscusting. Making you out to be tge crazy one on tge show. And yes Ariana was no angel in the beginning kissing Scandoval. But unfortunately Ariana got her karma too. Even though at the time Scandoval cheated on her. He was way worse than what he did to you Kristen. Thank God you found the right man. And thank God Ariana also has a good man. But we’re all waiting for Tom Scandoval to get his Karma. And when he does get his KARMA I hope we all hear about it. We all thought Jax was scum. But Scandoval you ar the number one guy. Yes the biggest scumbag of them all. Anyway back to you Kristen. We all liked you cause cause you never kissed Vanderpump s ass. You were and still are a lady who worked hard and never took crap from anyone. And so what you slept with Jax. At that time he was broken up with Stossi for quite a while. You certainly weren’t the reason they broke up. We never liked that spoiled brat Stossi. Why she even lost Katie as a friend for a while cause of her spoiled brat attitude. And yes why on earth did Lisa Vanderpump like Stossi so much and take her crap.
