Amanda Kloots Celebrates Her Wedding Anniversary After Late Husband’s Passing

Amanda Kloots is remembering her late husband Nick Cordero on what would have been their 8th wedding anniversary. The actor passed away in July 2020 from complications relating to COVID-19. He was 41.

Amanda Kloots Honors Her Late Husband Nick Cordero

Kloots previously starred on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 30 alongside professional dance partner Alan Bersten, and placed fourth. On September 3, she celebrated the love she has for Cordero. The couple married in 2017 and had their son, Elvis Cordero, in 2019.

Kloots shared throwback pictures on Instagram of them from their wedding day, and they look so happy. The couple pose for photos, share a kiss, and show off their moves on the dance floor. It looked like a beautiful day. In the caption, Kloots shared her thoughts. “Today would have been our 8th wedding anniversary. Our wedding was perfect—one of the best days of my life,” she wrote.

She continued, “After Nick passed, I finished one of his songs in honor of our 3rd anniversary. He had written it about losing his father, and I completed it thinking about losing him. It’s the only song we ever sang together, and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.” Kloots concluded her message by saying she wanted to celebrate the special days, even after Cordero had passed. “Nick, ‘your smile remains every day,’” she shared.

The comment section of the post has been flooded with messages of love and support. “Your love is strong and faithful. You’re a beautiful person. So much Love,” a comment reads. “This is so deeply moving,” another person wrote. “Honoring love, loss, and the beauty of what you shared—thank you for showing us how to keep celebrating even through heartbreak. His light lives on in you and in that song.”

Celebrities have also reacted, with Donnie Wahlberg writing, “Sending love!” Cordero appeared on “Blue Bloods,” on which Wahlberg stars.

“Thinking of you, my friend. Sending all my love,” Ricki Lake wrote.

Jenna Dewan commented with, “So much love to you and Elvis,” and DWTS alum Shana Burgess wrote, “Sending you and Elvis all the love.”

A Look Back at Amanda Kloots & Nick Cordero’s Love Story

Kloots and Cordero started as friends first and met three years earlier when they worked together on the 2014 musical, “Bullets Over Broadway,” People reports.

The couple married on September 3, 2017, at The Skylark, a cocktail lounge in Midtown, Manhattan. “We really wanted a nighttime classic NYC wedding,” Kloots told Brides in October 2017. “We both have worked on Broadway, so being just south of Times Square, 30 floors up, right in the middle of the skyscrapers, seemed so perfect!”

Their love was on display throughout the day, but their first look left them both moved to tears. “Our first look was a moment we will never forget,” Kloots said. “Nick came to meet me at The Plaza Hotel, where I was staying and getting ready. The moment we saw each other we both started crying.”
