The couples on “Dancing with the Stars” are returning to the ballroom on October 21 for Wicked Night. One of the perks as a DWTS fan is that you get to vote for your favorite couple on the show. So, how do you vote for Andy Richter and Emma Slater?
How Does Voting Work on ‘Dancing with the Stars’?
Time is of the essence when it comes to voting on DWTS. The show airs live on ABC and Disney+ at 8:00 p.m. ET. Eligible voters are able to cast their votes only while the show is broadcast live.
Voting closes after the final competitive dance of each episode. ABC noted voting is not available during later broadcasts or when the show is streaming afterward.
Here’s how to keep Andy Richter and Emma Slater safe on Wicked Night:
- Vote Online: Viewers can visit dwtsvote.abc.com and sign in with their ABC account. If you don’t have an ABC account, you can make one in the matter of minutes. Once you are signed in, you can then pick Andy & Emma and hit “Save Votes.”
- Vote by Texting: Viewers can also vote via text. If you would like to text your votes, all you need to do is text ANDY to 21523. However, this option is only available in the U.S. and U.S. territories.
Voters are able to vote 10 times per couple both online and via text. Therefore, you can cast up to 20 votes for Andy and Emma.
Viewers in Canada are unable to vote via text messaging. Standard message and data rates may apply when voting through text.
Text votes cannot be changed, so be sure you’re casting votes for the couple of your choosing before submitting.
Viewers must also be 18 years or older to vote. Hoping your favorite couple gets more votes? You can have any additional members of your household cast votes by logging in to their own accounts.
Andy Richter Breaks Down Voting Time Zones
Andy advised fans in a post on Instagram on October 21 they can only vote within a two hour window determined by their time zone.
Here’s the time zone breakdown:
- Pacific 5:00pm to 7:00pm
- Mountain 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- Central 7:00pm to 9:00pm
- Eastern 8:00pm to 10:00pm
“Those are the only times that you can keep Emma and my dream alive,” the actor said. “But we would love to get you to vote for us again.”
