Fans were concerned about Elaine Hendrix when she was unable to compete on “Dancing with the Stars” Week 7 for Halloween Night due to a rib injury. Hendrix had to be hospitalized because of the injury, and she left rehearsals on a stretcher. In an emotional Instagram post, she said she had injured her ribs during “Defying Gravity” and on October 28 they “seized up” and she couldn’t move.
Fans have been waiting for an update, and that update came on Wednesday, October 29.
Elaine Hendrix & Alan Bersten Share Update
Late on Wednesday, Hendrix and her professional dance partner, Alan Bersten, shared a video on Instagram, updating fans on her condition and thanking them for their continued support. “Hi everyone, doing a check-in to let you know that I’m doing okay,” she said. She told fans that despite being “sore,” she was “starting pain management” and taking a few days off dancing.
Will she be back on the ballroom for Week 8? “We’ll be back at it Friday. And I’m just getting ready to be in that ballroom next Tuesday,” Elaine shared.
Bersten also commented in the video, thanking fans for their love. “We just wanted to say thank you so much for voting for us, and show so much love to Elaine and the support,” he said. “We can feel it and we appreciate it so much.”
Hendrix has been having an incredible time on the ABC dance competition, giving it her all every week. She also has a great support system from her loyal and loving fans.
“All of your messages, I’m seeing it all, and I just want you to know that first and foremost, I’m okay, and second of all, I’m ready to go and just thank you so much for all the love and support that you’re showing and thank you to the entire Dancing with the Stars team,” she said. “You’re taking such good care of me. So we will see you next Tuesday out on the ballroom.”

Hendrix and Bersten’s post also includes photos of her in costume, ready for Halloween Night. Fans have reacted to the post with an outpouring of love. They have also expressed relief that she will be able to continue her “Dancing with the Stars” journey.
“Soo glad you’re okay and glad to see Alan is smiling again,” a comment reads. “My 9yr old woke up this morning and the first thing she asked was ‘Have you heard if Elaine is okay yet?’” another fan shared.
