Lea Thompson and Elaine Hendrix have more in common than many people may realize. They both appeared in Hallmark films and series, with Hendrix co-starring in 2018’s “Christmas at Pemberley Manor,” and Thompson in “The Chicken Sisters.” Thompson was on Season 19 of “Dancing With the Stars,” while Hendrix is currently competing on Season 19. They also starred in the 2008 Hallmark film “Jane Doe: Eye of the Beholder,” which Thompson also directed.
Thompson has known Hendrix for a long time, so obviously, she wants to help her old friend get closer to winning the Mirrorball Trophy. On October 7, she posted an Instagram story to her 460,000 followers, reminding them how to vote for Hendrix during the fourth episode of DWTS.
Thompson is One of Elaine Hendrix’s Many Friends Supporting Her DWTS Journey
Hendrix and Alan Bersten performed the cha-cha to Kesha’s “Woman” in Week 1, and a jive to Toni Basil’s “Hey Mickey” the following week. The third week saw them perform the tango to KATSEYE’s “Gnarly” in Week 3, with friends and family in the crowd cheering her on. Those included Lisa Ann Walter, who played Chessy alongside her character, Meredith Blake, in “The Parent Trap.” But even her friends who haven’t been able to support her in person are showing their love on social media.
“Amazing the best!” Thompson wrote on a DWTS Instagram post.

With Hendrix becoming a firm favorite, we hope Thompson can make it to the studio to cheer her friend on live one of these weeks.
Hendrix’s Dance Career Was Derailed By a Car Accident 30 Years Ago
Before switching to acting, Hendrix was a professional dancer. In 1992, she was hit by a car in Los Angeles while biking. It derailed her dance career, and she has struggled with some repercussions since.
“It’s a roller coaster because I have very real injuries, sustained from a very serious accident and other things that happened in life,” Hendrix told People during Week 2. “So I have good days, and I have challenging days. The thing that we focus on is to do whatever I need to do to make sure show day is a good day.”
Thankfully, she has a very patient and understanding dance partner. “I’m grateful that she loves this so much because you can see she’s putting everything into this,” he said.
