Ilona Maher is an Olympic medal-winning athlete, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, a fashionable figure and a “Dancing with the Stars” alum. However, even she has doubts about her body at times. That was part of the message she just shared while also posting photos of herself in a beautifully bold swimsuit.
“I had an interaction recently that made me feel self-conscious of my shoulders,” Maher wrote in the caption of the post she shared via Instagram on Saturday, March 21. “Afterward, I looked in the mirror and got worried they were too big. I flexed and checked them. I wondered to myself if anyone would find them attractive. If they are too much.”
“I’m just letting you know I have these thoughts at times, too,” she added. “I love my shoulders. I love myself, but it’s normal to have some negative thoughts at times. To combat them, I talk to my family and friends. I go workout. Maybe get dressed up. Or look at hot pictures of myself in bikinis.”
Along with Maher’s Instagram message, she included two photos of herself in a chic swimsuit. A black bikini-like piece, it boasts extra bands of fabric around her midsection that are held together in the middle by metal rings. A unique design, Maher slayed it in every possible way.

Ilona’s Swimsuit Photos are Always Stunning
While fans might be captivated by Maher’s latest sleek swimsuit, it’s far from the first one she’s worn and shared on social media.
For instance, she simply radiated fabulousness while lounging in a red one-piece swimsuit.
She looked lovely in a burgundy “Princess Leia” piece.
That’s not to mention the itty-bitty black bikini.
She was super pretty in a patterned string bikini top with a cheek-peeking bottom piece.
Her black-and-white swimsuit is beyond chic.
She also showed her patriotic side in a red, white and blue two-piece.
And, of course, we can’t forget about her Sports Illustrated digital cover swimsuit.
