The show isn’t stopping for Jen Affleck, even as she battles illness behind the scenes. The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star has been under the weather ahead of “Dedication Night” on “Dancing With the Stars.” Her husband, Zac Affleck, turned to social media to ask fans for prayers as she gathers her strength to perform Tuesday night.
“This week, she has been so sick. She hasn’t been able to practice and has been stuck in bed most of the week,” Zac wrote in a touching TikTok post that included photos of the mother of three.
Jen and her professional partner, “Eras Tour” dancer Jan Ravnik, plan to perform a Viennese Waltz to “Rescue” by Lauren Daigle, a fitting anthem for a week full of challenges.
Dance Dedicated to Her Mother & All Moms

Despite her health struggles, Jen is determined to take the stage with strength and love. Fans quickly filled Zac’s comments section with love and encouragement for the “Mormon Wives” star.
“We love you, Jen! Hoping you feel better soon. You always bring a smile to the dance floor,” one fan wrote.
Another shared, “I love Jen so much! She has such a big heart and deserves the best. Praying for her!”
One emotional message stood out: “Jen saved my life. I was going through the hardest time of my life while this show played in the hospital. You are so strong, moving, and important to me. Please keep fighting.” Zac responded, “Wow, thank you … I can’t wait for her to read this Tuesday.”
Jen Pushes Through With Strength & Gratitude
Shortly after Zac’s post, Jen shared an update with fans, posting photos of herself receiving an IV drip while preparing for the show.
“Couldn’t practice as much this week. With lots of rest and help from Zac and my family, we still pulled something off,” she wrote. “Ironic that my song is ‘Rescue.’ This week tested me in ways I never imagined.”
Jen confirmed that her illness is not COVID-19 but didn’t reveal further details. In a recent interview with Page Six, the mom of three admitted that joining “Dancing With the Stars” just two months after giving birth to her daughter, Penelope, has been challenging.
“I am working out half the day and coming home exhausted, but I’ve got three babies to take care of,” she said. “I’ve gotta cook, clean, and do all the normal things you do as a mom. But that’s how you know I’m a mom. Us moms, we just do it.”
A Mother, Performer & Fighter

Jen and Zac share three children: daughters Penelope and Nora, and son Lucas. Despite joining “Dancing With the Stars” just two months after giving birth to her youngest, Jen has continued to impress fans with her determination, grace, and warmth on the dance floor.
Her story of resilience has inspired viewers across the country as she juggles motherhood, recovery, and competition, all while maintaining her trademark positivity.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, with new episodes available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
For now, fans are sending love, prayers, and strength to Jen Affleck, a devoted mom and performer who refuses to let anything keep her from shining under the ballroom lights.
