Going into “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, pro Jenna Johnson was the reigning champion, having won Season 33 with “The Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei. However, her time on the new season has not gone as planned.
Jenna Johnson’s DWTS Season 34 Journey
On September 23, Week 2 of Season 34, Johnson and her celebrity partner, actor Corey Feldman, performed a cha cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Judges Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba gave them a score of 15/30, the lowest score of the night. The pair were eliminated from the show, alongside former NBA star Baron Davis and Britt Stewart, ultimately cutting their DWTS journey short.
Johnson has been part of DWTS since Season 23 in 2016, and she is already looking to the future. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on September 23, Johnson revealed who she would like to be partnered with in Season 35. She revealed who her dream celebrity partner would be: former NFL star Jason Kelce.
Jenna Johnson Discusses Her Dream Partner
“I would say Jason Kelce. I think he would be hysterical,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. She also said she thinks he would “shock people,” and he “would just have infectious energy in the ballroom. People would love to watch his journey on the show.” Kelce, who is also the brother of Travis Kelce, recently retired from the NFL, so it may be in the realm of possibility that he would sign up for the next season of DWTS.
As for how Johnson felt about competing with Feldman? She had nothing but nice things to say. “He is an icon, and when he came in with the sunglasses on, I was like, ‘Oh yes, he means business.’ One of my favorite things about Corey is his energy, and he comes into the room with that charisma and that energy,” Johnson said. “I really love that, and I want to make sure that I highlight that [in] each dance that we do, because it is so special about him. He’s really electric on the dance floor and in our rehearsal space.”
Feldman may not have been the most technically skilled dancer this season, but he had a lot of passion. The official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account posted several photos of Feldman and Johnson’s final performance, and fans reacted in the comments.
“Such a great performer and wants to be here so bad and get better he’s got 10 from me,” a comment reads. “THEY WERE ROBBED!!!!! THIS DANCE WAS AMAZING,” another person shared.
“Yall better give him 10 Now,” a third person shared.
