DWTS Alum Reveals Her Family Tried to Buy Back Their Iconic Reality TV House

“Dancing with the Stars” alum Kelly Osbourne has fond memories of her family’s former Beverly Hills home. The youngest daughter of late music legend Ozzy Osbourne recently revealed that her family tried to re-purchase the California home that they lived in while filming their famous MTV reality show, “The Osbournes,” more than 20 years ago.

Speaking with Omaze UK in a video interview published in March 2026, Osbourne, 41, said the house was one of her favorite places she has ever lived.

“That house will always be one of the best places we’ve ever lived, and I have such fond memories of it because that house changed my life and we had a lot of fun,” she shared. “There was also a lot of sadness, too, because my mom went through cancer in that house, but we made it through. We’ve asked about 10 times if we could buy it back and they keep saying no, even though they’re never even there, the people who currently own it. But it was a great house.”

Kelly Osbourne Said When the House Began to Feel Like a ‘Set’ the Family Bowed Out

From 2002 to 2005, fans had an inside look at the Osbourne family’s sprawling French country-style estate. The first episode of “The Osbournes” featured the family’s move-in and a look at the Black Sabbath legend’s collection of devil heads and other macabre décor.

In the new interview, Osbourne noted that nothing had changed when her family recently filmed a documentary at their home in England.

“I realized through filming again that absolutely nothing has changed,” she said. “It is absolute chaos at all times. There are dogs everywhere. They’re still [expletive] everywhere. The madness prevails and we somehow always make it work in the most loving way possible.”

“We took a different route for sure by letting the cameras into our home, but it seems like people enjoyed it,” she added of the family’s reality series. “We enjoyed it until we didn’t and then we stopped. …When my home started to feel like a set, was when I realized I was done and I didn’t want to do it anymore.”

“It’s crazy to think that our family is the family that invented that style of television,” she added of the celebrity reality TV format. “And it makes me want to apologize because some of the shows that we’ve all had to suffer through have been quite [expletive], but then some of them have been amazing. But yeah, we were the first.”

A Superstar Singer Bought the Osbourne House

The Osbournes’ famous mansion spanned over 10,000 square feet in a gated community in Beverly Hills. According to the Denver Post, when they decided to move, the Osbourne family sold the home to Christina Aguilera for $11.5 million. The music superstar later sold the property when she divorced her then-husband Jordan Bratman.

At the time of the original sale, Ozzy Osbourne told The Sun that the popularity of the reality show attracted too many tourists. “I [didn’t] want to stay in that house anymore,” the rocker said, per Today. “When we finished the program, they pulled the plug on security, and we were left with a huge bill to pay for the armed guard. People turn up day and night and a tour bus stops outside the house every day — it drives me mad . . . . So we’ve sold it off to Christina, and we’re moving to a new place in a gated community.”
