Fans of “Dancing With the Stars” know that the professional lineup typically isn’t revealed until closer to the season premiere, meaning viewers will have to wait a little longer to find out which familiar faces will return to the ballroom.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, a fan-favorite former pro was asked if she would return to the show for season 35 or at any point in the future. The last time viewers watched her in the ballroom was back in 2021.
Lindsay Arnold Shares Whether She Would Return to DWTS in the Future
GettyThe last time “Dancing With the Stars” fans watched pro dancer Lindsay Arnold on the ballroom floor was in season 30 in 2021, while partnered with “The Bachelor” Matt James. Now, five years later, Arnold was asked by Us Weekly if she could ever picture herself back in the fun-filled competition.
“I’ve always said that I will literally never say never because I love the show. There’s so many aspects of it that I miss,” she teased.
Arnold admitted that, in a “perfect world,” she’d return to the ballroom while also being there for her three children and their needs. However, she acknowledged that balancing both isn’t realistic now.
While the former pro could see herself returning to DWTS in the future someday, fans shouldn’t expect to see her back in the ballroom for the upcoming 35th season.
“In a perfect world, I could do the show and also do all the other things I have and also take my kids to all of their things and also be home. … But I think right now, I am just absolutely loving and embracing this phase of life that we’re in,” she added.
Arnold and her husband, Sam Cusick, are parents to three young children who will start school soon, and reside in Utah. Filming for DWTS takes place in Los Angeles, so moving her entire family would also pose a challenge.
“I’ve got my girls in so many different things, and I love being there for all of those things. I love being able to be fully present and just embrace this phase of life,” she said. “I feel really grateful for all the years that I had on the show and embracing that phase of my life.”
Arnold Returned to the Stage for DWTS Con Seven Weeks After Giving Birth
Although fans won’t see Arnold competing on season 35, those who attended the first-ever DWTS Con 2026 in Palm Springs, California, recently got to see her back on the ballroom stage.
Arnold performed alongside her younger sister and fellow DWTS pro Rylee Arnold and pro Brandon Armstrong, with the pair dancing in identical dresses to “Sisters” by Rosemary and Betty Clooney. Arnold also paired up with former pro Sasha Farber in a group dance.
Arnold reflected on being back on the DWTS stage just seven weeks after giving birth to her third child, son Hayes. Taking to Instagram, she shared a series of photos at DWTS Con, including sweet family snapshots with her newborn son, husband, and their two daughters.
Performing on stage again just 7 weeks postpartum, looking out to see my babies in the audience, and getting to dance alongside my baby sister and some of closest friends… 😭🫶🏻 It was one of those moments I’ll never forget. So full circle, so emotional, and such a reminder that this season of life is the sweetest one yet. 🤍” She wrote.
