Mark Ballas is an exceptional dancer and a “Dancing with the Stars” fan favorite, and his recent inclusion in “The Traitors” Season 4 has been generating hype around him and his gameplay. But on Tuesday, February 24, it was not how Ballas played the game that attracted his fans’ attention, but how he ran during a challenge.
Mark Ballas Declares He Will Never Run on TV Again
Ballas posted a hilarious video on Instagram of himself running. His running posture differs from the norm, and the three-time Mirrorball champion was the first to poke fun at this with comparisons to Johnny Depp’s character Captain Jack Sparrow from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series. In his edited video, Ballas included a photo of Depp as Sparrow, along with the message, “Jack Sparrow approves.”
“I’m NEVER running on TV again,” he joked in the caption, while tagging the reality show, “The Traitors.”
DWTS Pros Post Hilarious Reactions to Mark Ballas’ Video
The post is a bit of lighthearted fun and shows how Ballas is not one to take himself too seriously. But the comment section of his post is also comedy gold, filled with reactions from his DWTS family who are playfully roasting him. Comments include one from his bestie, Derek Hough, who wrote, “I heeehawed.” He included two crying-in-laughter emojis.
Fellow DWTS pro Jan Ravnik reacted to the video, writing, “This run sir!!! We need to be better.”
Ballas’ wife, BC Jean, also shared her thoughts. “I literally said- I can’t wait to watch you run on tv. I knew this was your fate. Now the world knows my handsome husband is a cautious runner,” she wrote.
Other comments include one from “Twilight” star Taylor Launtner, who wrote, “I did not notice this, and now I don’t know how.” Dylan Efron, who competed on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 and won “The Traitors” Season 3, wrote, “Did closing your eyes on the ride help? i thought you were going to spot like during spins.”
Emma Slater wrote, “OMG IM DEAD!!!” And Hayley Erbert also reacted to the post with crying-in-laughter emojis.
Ballas’ dad, Corky Ballas, praised him for being able to make fun of himself. “That’s awesome that you can make fun of yourself, I’m dead. I’ve watched it 100 times,” he commented.
Mark is having an impressive run on “The Traitors” Season 4, and he has shared a lot of content dedicated to it. However, this is arguably the most hilarious clip yet. The finale will air on Thursday, February 26.
