Robert Irwin is loving every minute of his “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 experience, and he impressed fans during Week 6 for Wicked Night. Irwin and his professional dance partner Witney Carson performed a Jazz to “Dancing Through Life” by Jonathan Bailey featuring Ariana Grande, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, and Cynthia Erivo.
Not only did they dance to Bailey’s song, but Irwin also transformed into his “Wicked” character, Fiyero, in an incredible costume on the night. He wore a slate-blue shirt, smoky-blue pants, and a matching cropped jacket. It was an impressive performance, and fans loved it, but they were not the only ones won over!
Jonathan Bailey Reacts to Robert Irwin’s ‘Wicked’ Performance
In a video posted on Irwin’s Instagram account on Friday, October 24, he reveals his joy at learning that Bailey had sent him flowers. The footage shows Irwin practicing his Week 7 routine with Carson, who brings in a large bouquet and a note.
Irwin takes the flowers from Carson and opens the note. His reaction is absolutely priceless, a mix of pure shock and absolute joy. Carson excitedly asks, “Who’s it from?” and Irwin takes a moment to recover before revealing it is from Jonathan Bailey!
Carson doesn’t believe Irwin at first and tries to get hold of the card, but Irwin tells her, “No, seriously,” and then he reads out what Bailey wrote to him! The wildlife conservationist revealed that the moment had made his day, and he stopped rehearsing for a bit so he could walk around with his flowers.
In the caption of the post, he shared his thoughts, writing, “Thank you so much @jbayleaf What a cool surprise, it was an honour to play Fiyero for the night!”
