DWTS Contestant Reveals on Live TV That They’re Having a Baby

It was a heartwarming and unforgettable night on “Dancing With the Stars“. Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying moved viewers to tears with a deeply personal performance, and a joyful announcement that left the ballroom cheering.

During Week 5’s “Dedication Night,” the 32-year-old artist dedicated his foxtrot to his husband, Mark, dancing alongside pro partner Rylee Arnold to his own original song, “Parallel.” The emotional track was inspired by the night he and Mark first fell in love, staying up talking until sunrise.

“I am so in love with him, and I have been hoping we would make it to this week,” Hoying shared in rehearsal. “I’ve always been a workaholic. We toured every single year. I felt like I was always dating mean guys. When I met Mark, it felt like I could exhale. I could be myself.”

A Performance Full of Love & Meaning

The Grammy-winning artist opened up about how his husband helped him heal and grow. “What happens is your self-esteem starts to heal, and that starts to trickle into all areas of your life,” Hoying said. “He’s so special.”

Their heartfelt foxtrot beautifully reflected their love story, with Hoying’s vocals and emotional movement creating one of the night’s standout moments.

“We’re Gonna Be Dads”

In a tender backstage moment that aired during the show, Scott and Mark shared exciting personal news with Rylee, and with millions of viewers watching at home.

“We’re gonna be dads,” the couple announced, smiling through tears. “Our surrogate is pregnant!”

Mark added, “We’ve dreamed of this our whole lives. Scott’s gonna be the best dad in the whole world.” He also shared how meaningful Scott’s dedication was to him, saying, “For him to dedicate this performance, to a song he wrote about our love, I will treasure this for the rest of my life.”

A Love Story Years in the Making

Scott and Mark’s love story began in 2017 and reached a new chapter in 2023 when they exchanged vows in a romantic ceremony officiated by singer Christina Perri. Their wedding, filled with music, laughter, and heartfelt emotion, reflected the same warmth and connection that now defines their journey into parenthood.

Their joyful baby announcement on Dancing With the Stars became one of the most talked-about moments of the evening, as fans flooded social media with love, congratulations, and tears of happiness.

It was a night to remember, a beautiful celebration of love, artistry, and new beginnings, as Scott Hoying filled the ballroom with both heart and harmony.
