As part of the tour, the dancer likely spent his birthday surrounded by love and support. Online, fans loved seeing the birthday tributes pour in — especially the ones from Val’s immediate family.
Val Chmerkovskiy’s Family Posts Adorable Throwback Pics
It’s been quite an exciting year for Val Chmerkovskiy, who finished “DWTS” season 34 in second place with his partner, Alex Earle. Now, he’s on the road with his family as they perform for fans across the United States.
But now, there’s another reason for the Ukrainian dancer to celebrate. On March 24, 2026, Val reached his 40th birthday. To commemorate the milestone, he received quite a bit of attention online. Fans agree Val’s family members had the best tribute posts since they included adorable throwback photos.
“Please wish my brother from literally the same mother and father @valentin a very happy 40th birthday!!!” Val’s older brother Maks Chmerkovskiy shared with his Instagram followers, adding some famous quotes about growing older. “Welcome to the forties little brother! I love you very much! ❤️”
Maks attached an old photo of a much-younger Val, flexing his muscles at the camera.
Val’s wife Jenna Johnson shared her own special birthday message for him on Instagram.
“Happy 40th Birthday to the one and only ♥️ To know him is to love him; to be loved by him is to feel as though you’re standing on top of the world,” Jenna shared, attaching a variety of photos of Val throughout the years.
The first image features Val without his signature mustache and beard. Instead, the younger version of the dancer features just a hint of facial hair. Plenty of other fans spotted his earring.
The Pro Dancer Shares His Goals for the Future
On his 40th birthday, Val Chmerkovskiy took some time to reflect and share his views on life with followers.
“What up friends? My beautiful friends. Today’s my birthday and I am 40 years old,” he shared with his Instagram audience members. “I just had to say it on camera because that feels crazy to say.”
The dancer discussed how saddened he felt when he heard his peers “give up caring” as they get older. Instead, Val said he wants to keep loving and caring about more things.
“As I get older, I can’t wait to care more. I can’t wait to care more about my wife. I can’t wait to care more about my family, you know?” Val continued in the video, citing how much he loves his life and the world around him.
