Whitney Leavitt is switching things up.
The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star debuted a dramatic new hairstyle on Friday, Sept. 4, giving fans a look at her fresh new bob while also showing support for her husband, Conner Leavitt.
Whitney Looks Amazing With the New Hair
Whitney revealed the transformation in a video shared to Instagram.
The clip opens with the reality star appearing to take a fake phone call before heading into the hairstylist’s chair. Text across the video teased what was coming: “did something crazy ✂️👀”
The next shot showed Whitney showing off her newly cut hair as she turned around for the camera. She also had another surprise for viewers: a T-shirt that read, “I’m Conner Leavitt’s wife.”
The shirt was more than a playful fashion choice. The back included a number fans can use to vote for Conner as he prepares to compete on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise for Whitney’s new look.
“Ok I love it!!!!! Yes season 1 Whit is back but better than ever,” one wrote.
Another added, “SOOOO GORGEOUS,” while another wrote, “it looks so good.”
“This girl would be hot even with a bald head hahaha! Looking fire !!!” one joked.
“Omg whit!!! Unreal,” someone else added.
Others kept things simple, filling the comments with fire emojis.
Conner also made sure to weigh in, revealing that he apparently had no idea Whitney was planning to promote him with the shirt.
“You didn’t tell me about the shirt!!!!!” he exclaimed.
Another commenter celebrated Whitney’s support for her husband, writing, “we love a tshirt to support our man!!!”
Conner Is Set to Be on DWTS
The haircut comes as Conner prepares to follow in his wife’s “Dancing With the Stars” footsteps.
Whitney competed on the show last year, making it to the semifinals with professional partner Mark Ballas.
Now, Conner is getting his own chance on the ballroom floor with professional partner Adele Zaikman.
Speaking with E! News after the cast announcement, he revealed that Whitney has already given him plenty of advice about the experience.
“Honestly, she said this to me so many times, ‘This experience goes by fast. In the blink of an eye it’s going to be over,’” Conner told the outlet. “‘Be present. Have fun. Build relationships with the people around you. You’re just going to learn so much so just soaking it all in.’”
Conner joked that there could be some pressure to live up to Whitney’s performance.
“Listen, if I go further than Whitney, she will never live it down,” he explained. “I will be like, ‘Check it.’”
Still, he knows competing after Whitney means having some big shoes to fill.
“Whitney is a phenomenal dancer,” Conner mused. “She loved her season. She had so much fun. So much she took away from it. I do feel like there’s a little bit of pressure though. There’s big shoes to fill.”
Whitney has also decided not to watch Conner’s routine before his debut.
“I told her, ‘Can I show you the routine?’” Conner recalled. “And she said, ‘No, I don’t want to see it. I want to be surprised week one. I just want to go in, eyes wide open. Fresh start. I just want to be there as a spectator.’”
For now, Whitney appears ready to cheer him on — new bob and all.
