Andrew Walker is celebrating his longtime friend and co-star Tyler Hynes in the sweetest way.
In honor of Hynes’ 40th birthday, Walker posted a touching tribute on social media for the actor, whom he affectionately called his “brother.” The post included a series of hilarious and adorable moments from over the years, showcasing the strong bond between the two Hallmark favorites both on and off screen”. Fans were quick to react to Walker’s birthday message, with many praising their friendship and joining in to celebrate Hynes’ big day.
Walker Pens Sweet Message for Hynes’ 40th Birthday
“To the man of our dreams. ‘You are the sun, you are the rain,'” wrote Walker in his May 6 Instagram post. “Wishing you the Happiest of Birthdays brother. 🎂 Grateful for everything we get to do together. 🤍👊 40 🧐”
Hynes wrote back, “@milesmarthaller & me secret selfies made the cut 🤍 love you my man.”

Walker & Hynes Have Been Friends for Two Decades
Hallmark“We talk weekly,” Walker told Us Weekly of Hynes in February 2023. “I’ve known the guy for 19 years since he started coming to her house for Christmases when I first met my wife. We have a deep appreciation for each other.”
In November 2021, the two actors made cameos in each other’s Hallmark holiday films, with Hynes appearing briefly in “My Christmas Family Tree,” while Walker popped up on “An Unexpected Christmas.” One year later, Hynes and Walker finally co-starred in their first joint Hallmark project, “Three Wise Men and a Baby.”
Walker told the outlet that “it was the best-case scenario to work with Tyler [who] is my wife’s cousin.” “And then [costar] Paul [Campbell], you know, wrote this insane script with Kimberley [Sustad] and they were already they doing incredible things.”
Walker, Hynes, and Campbell went on to do two more movies in the “Three Wise Men” series, “Three Wiser Men and a Boy” from 2024, and “Three Wisest Men” from 2025.
Hynes told Us Weekly that he would love to work with Walker and Campbell again. “I mean, those guys, I obviously love them to death,” Hynes told the outlet in an April 2026 interview. “I just saw Paul and Kim [Sustad] when I was in Vancouver, and we’re going to find ways to play around in the sand.”
“Honestly, we listen a lot to what our audience says and whether it’s the brothers or it’s some new adventure, we’ll find an excuse to disappoint everybody on screen.”
